Welcome and congratulations. My advice would be to take some time to lurk before you start posting. Hang out for a few months and get to know the place. Best news agregator on the web. Just read through the headlines every day and find all sorts of fun and nutritious content. Take it slow. Remember you are a noob. And enjoy.

Yeah, what Huck said.
I might add, don’t forget to take a break every eight or ten hours to eat and attend to personal hygiene; don’t worry, the forum will still be there when you return. Try to get at least a couple hours of sleep a night or your health may suffer. And don’t neglect your family; you should email your wife and kids at least every other day or so.
Enjoy!
Why is there such disdain here for “newbies”, and the admonishment that they must wait a while before posting? Just because people have not been “FReepers” forever does not mean they are ignorant of politics or other topics.
They may be extremely more knowledgable than many of us, and may have posted on other sites for years! It’s just that they are new to THIS exact site.
Many existing FReepers (but not the site’s owners) are very snobbish in this respect, and I don’t know of another site that discourages short-term posters in this manner.
