For example, if you talk to any conservative, he or she has endless respect for those who lost their lives on September 11, particularly those who rushed into buildings in order to help those in need. Not true, declares Trumka! Instead, he writes:
[D]espite our vows, the public servants, construction workers and others who lost their lives or still suffer with the cancerous remnants of the Twin Towers haven’t just been forgotten. They’ve been vilified. The extremist small government posse has turned them into public enemy No. 1...
Trumka later continues his insane blabbering, once again throwing out boogie men and lies:
Wealthy CEOs, anti-government extremist front groups and frothing talk show hosts—from the Rush Limbaughs and Glenn Becks to the Koch brothers, Karl Rove’s American Crossroads group, Americans for Prosperity, the Club for Growth, FreedomWorks and the American Legislative Exchange Council—also pushed open the door to hate.
We’ve seen the costs of hatred in ill-thought wars, in shameful attacks on immigrants and our LGBT neighbors. We saw it in the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. We saw it in the racism that has found overt and covert expression since Barack Obama began his run for office—from outright declarations of people who said out loud they would never vote for a black man.

Twelve members of Operating Engineers Local 17, including high-ranking officials, were arrested April 8 by federal officers on charges of extortion, conspiracy to commit extortion and conspiracy to commit racketeering.
Mark Kirsch, Local 17, is among those accused of engaging in attacks on non-union workers and their families over a 10-year period by committing acts of bodily harm, destruction of property and workplace sabotage in order to force employers to hire workers chosen by the union.
“Today’s indictment is a critical first step toward releasing local industry and contractors from the stranglehold of corrupt union leaders who are charged with extortion, workplace sabotage and other labor racketeering crimes,” said Gordon S. Heddell, U.S. Department of Labor inspector general.

Where? I've been to a few and have never seen any of this! They keep making up garbage and the MSM reports it as fact. Why are the Republicans not screaming mad about this??
For one, he appeals to an ever shrinking sect of society. And that was small before he opened his pie hole.
Secondly, it's what I've come to expect from Obama’s Army. In fact, I would be disappointed if he didn't say things like this on the anniversary of 9/11. This is just a small taste of how the Obama campaign will be conducted in 2012
Thirdly, this is only a sign of their failure and his nervous breakdown
I see your point. I, unfortunately, do not have as much confidence as others that he will be defeated in 2012. Some here on FR act like it is a forgone conclusion, it is not. I have a bad feeling that some “crisis” will develop that will cause the “faithful followers” to unite behind him. They saw how the country rallied behind GWB after 9-11 and know it is an effective tool.
No surprise at this. Every war begins with propaganda. This one is no different.
