Dr Ron Paul is basically not a politician, he is a conservative in the true sense of the word as defined by Goldwater and Reagan,

Neither Reagan nor Goldwater would blame America for all the problems in the world. It was Goldwater who said, "Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. And moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue". Appeasement Paul would have said, "Extremism in the defense of liberty is unthinkable, and moderation in the pursuit of justice is admirable." No the coward from Galveston is NOTHING like Reagan or Goldwater.

On the subject of Cong. David Crockett quotes, my favorite has always been:

We have the right as individuals to give away as much of our own money as we please in charity, but as Members of Congress we have no right to appropriate a dollar of the public money.

"If they attack us because they hate our freedoms, as so many like to think, then what was the impetus for the “Arab Spring”? I guess they were fighting for more oppression? Makes sense to me...."

As it turns out, they must have been fighting for more Sharia Law. Whether they were or not, it does appear that that is what they are getting...

“Does anyone know how many countries the US occupies?”

Sure.

Exactly Zero. We have a forward deployed Presence in MAny countries, at the invitation of those countries, but we “occupy” none.

Last I looked, we have bases all over the world. I've been at a few of them myself.

You could even say, because of those military bases, that we are an occupying force in those countries. Certainly that's the case or was the case for our presence in Germany and Japan. Declaring war against the US is a sort of invitation to us to be there, I guess, but...

World War II and the cold war are over. Why do we still have bases in Europe? Let's declare ourselves the winner and bring them home.

We certainly do have bases all over the world. And we also have a thing called a “SOFA” or Status of Forces Agreement in all these countries where we have bases. If we were an Occupying Force, we would have no such SOFA with that country. And in that case we would be an occupier.

When Ron Paul started getting booed for his Palestinian
remark, I said out loud to my son, “Finally, Ron Paul
Jumped the shark. Now it’s out there for all to see.”

My hope is that after the booing (and his attempt to
lecture the audience) will be the watershed moment
that knocks him out and narrows the field.

Finally, a GOP candidate is going after traitor RuPaul, as they all should do. Paul is a liebertarian and not a Republican or a patriot, and shouldn’t be in these “debates” at all or able to call himself Republican.

Good for Rick. Santorum is the most conservative candidate, with a proven, consistent record. It is sad that he gets barely any notice because he does make good points and is a spirited speaker.

Even on the right, folks generally pay attention only to candidates highlighted by media.

Ok then, we aren't occupiers.

Let's declare victory from foreign entanglements and come home.

Let the Europeans fend for themselves.

If they need us, they know our number.

Why does he keep saying what Al Qaeda says? He can just say why he doesn’t like our foreign policy.

ya, I agree, I dont know why it is relevant what they say, we should stop supporting middle eastern governments because it is the right thing to do, not because some terrorists say it...

This is what they say, if anyone is interested:
