Lutheran ping
Thanks but no thanks. Final seconds of the audio stretch the Second Commandment too thin.
I’d fly on Lutheran Airlines before I’d sail on Somali Cruise Lines.
Sorry I couldn’t get a smile out of you Padre.
“Rows one through 6, bring the rolls... rolls seven through twelve, bring a salad...”
Very cute! I sent this to my mom. :)
Dessert would typically be green jello, otherwise known as church jello.
PING
Add little marshmellows and crushed walnuts and it becomes Methodist Jello (my Grandma’s favorite salad, bless her soul).
Yes, pineapple definitely. I forgot.
Is that Tim Conway’s voice? He sounds a lot like Mr. Tudball.
Come on over to Southern Baptist Airlines.
Our guests serve better food.
***Our guests serve better food.
I hate to say it; but in my humble experience, that actually is true! lol! Baptists sure know how to feed a group.
:)

So, true story: My daughter is a huge Dave Ramsay fan, so we’re always talking about doing things on the cheap.
We were watching ‘say yes to the dress’ (don’t judge me) and decided that spending $5-10,000 on one dress for one day was just plain dumb. So we paused the show and started putting together a hypothetical wedding with 100 guests - the whole thing - for under two grand.
When it came to catering, my daughter had a brilliant plan. “Mom, all we have to do is ask the ladies at a Baptist church if one of them would be willing to help plan that part out for a hundred dollar church donation. It would be pot-luck, practically free and *AWESOME*!!”
Your daughter is a smart cookie.
At EVERY (bar none) potluck at our church, the food has been nothing less than fabulous.
As a belated aside, do you know why a Lutheran should never take a Baptist fishing?
Because they will drink all the beer.
As with literature and music, there are timeless classics in humor.
