Hollywood Unhinged

Democrats sure do you use the word "racist" a lot... mostly when talking about Republicans, but especially the Tea Party. Do they even know what it means anymore? It's certainly a loaded word that incites a lot of emotion. That's their reason for using it. Nobody wants to be labeled a "racist." But what is a racist? The actual definition is a person who believes in racism, the doctrine that a certain human race is superior to any or all others. So, when Democrats throw around the word "racist" as much as they do, are they suggesting that Republicans and Tea Partiers think they are superior to other races? If so, how do they reconcile the fact that the Republican Party and Tea Party are made up by people of all races? Or are they just looking to use any means necessary to attempt to gain political control in this country?

Before I explore this topic further, it must be noted that Democrats in America have a long history of racism that is largely ignored by historians, teachers, professors, politicians, entertainers, authors and the Democratic National Committee (DNC). In fact, the KKK was founded in 1865 by Democrats as a way to intimidate blacks and Republicans in an organized effort to regain political power in the South... and they were hugely successful as Democrats took control of the South by 1877. Racism within the Democrat Party continued for much of the 20th Century. Democrats wanted slavery. Democrats wanted the Jim Crow Laws. Democrats wanted segregation. Democrats turned the dogs and hoses on to blacks in the South. Democrats voted no for the Civil Rights Acts of the 1960s. Democrats put in the Senate a former member of the KKK who continued to use bigoted language even after elected. And it isn't like this is the difference between the "old" Democrat Party and the "modern" Democrat Party because Democrats currently have a former KKK member running for Mayor in Lake Wales, Florida.

Okay, now that is out of the way. Why are Democrats so hell bent on assigning a "racist" label to their political adversaries? The reason is because it is an effective political tool.In Adolf Hitler's "War Propaganda," volume 1, chapter 6 of Mein Kampf, it states, "But the most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly and with unflagging attention. It must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over. Here, as so often in this world, persistence is the first and most important requirement for success." In other words, isolate your target, pick a simple damning message and say it over and over again until people begin to believe it as truth. In fact, a report prepared during the war by the United States Office of Strategic Services described Hitler's psychological profile as "His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it."

When applying these propaganda tactics to Republicans and the Tea Party, the strategy of the Left, typified by the Democrat Party, the "Big Lie" suddenly becomes apparent. They've chosen their targets: Republicans, especially Tea Partiers. They've confine them to a few points: racists, bigots and homophobes. Enlist those with a soapbox to repeat them over and over: Hollywood.

In modern America, "propaganda" is generally spread through magazines, radio, television, film and the Internet. And the American audience tend to listen to those whom they trust. Short of a family member, friend or clergyman, trust is given mostly to those who are eagerly invited into our homes on a daily basis... film and television stars. It is a formula that works. Tommy Lee Jones tells us to invest with Ameriprise, we invest with Ameriprise. Ashton Kutcher tells us to buy a Nikon, we buy Nikon. Jennifer Hudson tells us to use Weight Watchers, we use Weight Watchers. And so on. And it is precisely this reason that Hollywood has become an effective soapbox for political propaganda.

In 2008, Hollywood (Scarlett Johansson, Common, Vera Farmiga, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, John Leguizamo, George Lopez, Adrianne Palicki, Regina King, Jesse Plemons, Jessica Alba to name a few) got together and made the creepy, and now regretful, "Yes We Can" and "We Are The Ones" songs (courtsey of will.i.am) and the result was a major victory for Barack Obama.

Unfortunately, Obama did not deliver the HOPE and CHANGE he promised. He did not close Gitmo as promised. He did not bring the Troops home as promised. In fact, he started a third war in Libya. He did not create the economic recovery as promised. In fact, America hit double-digit unemployment and we're headed toward a double-dip recession. Poverty is hitting record highs and never have more Americans been on food stamps in the history of the nation as they are now. His healthcare plan is a disaster and taxes are higher and fewer people are insured. Obama has, in fact, set himself up for a series impeachable offenses "Fast & Furious", "Solyndra", "Buffet Inside Trading" and "Murdering American Citizen Anwar al-Awlaki."

Meanwhile, Obama lives the high life vacationing to Martha's Vineyard and golfing at an unprecedented rate.Obama cannot run on his record. So, how do Democrats defeat Republicans and Tea Partiers, who are calling for a change in the White House, in an effort to maintain power? They can't praise Obama. So, they seek and destroy their political adversaries. And they do this with a Big Lie and they enlist those trusted folks from Hollywood to say it over and over until the collective America begins to experience cognitive dissonance and believe what is actually false.

This, by no means, is a complete list, but some examples include:

Actress & Radio Show Host Janeane Garofalo (Criminal Minds, Air America) VIDEO

Oscar Winning Actor Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby, Invictus) VIDEO

Actor Alan Cummings (The Good Wife) VIDEO

Actress & Comedienne Rachael Harris (The Hangover, Diary of a Wimpy Kid) VIDEO

Actor & Comedian W. Kamau Bell (Comics Unleashed, KQEDs Spark, Filter on G4 ) VIDEO

Reality TV Star Ragan Fox (Big Brother 12) VIDEO

Radio Show Personality Stephanie Miller (Air America) & Actress Nancy Giles (China Beach) VIDEO

VO Artist DC Douglas (GEICO) VIDEO

Robert Greenwald, Director & Producer (Xanadu, The Burning Bed, OutFoxed, Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price): "Tell the GOP: Apologize for your hate-spewing proxies in the Tea Party Patriots. It is not acceptable for you to build your party's political fortunes by encouraging and defending bigotry and hatred among your supporters."

Jim Miller, Director of Development (Bull Durham, Sling Blade): "As a gay American, what deeply saddened me was the non-response from Republican legislators when asked about this incident. When our government officials accept remarks that are derogatory to a portion of their citizenry, something is broken."

Erikka Yancy, Actress and Studio Producer (The Watcher, ER, This Brave Nation): "It's now and only now, when a person of color is in the Oval Office, that we start to see these self-righteous, dangerous, gun-toting racists spurred on by the Limbaughs and the Glenn Becks and the Sean Hannitys of the world come out and protest the evils of 'big government."

Axel Caballero, Producer (Cuéntame): "As a Latino I am outraged at the discriminatory language Tea Partiers use to further their political agenda, and the deafening silence from the Republican Party."

And one video that seems to be removed from the Internet is of actor Jon Hamm (Mad Men) suggesting the Tea Party is racist on Bill Maher's show, "That's what it's all sort of couched in ... that's the secret agenda."

But are the Republican and the Tea Parties racist?

We do know that Leftists have infiltrated Tea Parties in the past with racist signs and took photos and video for the Internet. We do know that people who bring anything bigoted to a Tea Party rally are not welcomed, escorted out and asked to resign... because, apparently, racism is not tolerated in the Tea Party. We do know that Republicans have chosen a black man, Herman Cain, as their favorite Republican Presidential candidate in 2012 in a recent Florida Straw Poll (would the Democrats that controlled the KKK ever see a black man win a poll to be their top representative?). And we do know that Democrats are willing to do anything to maintain political power in America.

But let's visit a Tea Party rally and see for ourselves...

George Orwell suggested in Nineteen Eighty-Four that propaganda was a necessary tool in order to maintain power and control the people. At one point he touched upon the cognitive dissonance experienced by those that end up believing what they are declaring, "To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just so long as it is needed...."

If the racist label is to stick, then Democrats will have succeeded in their Hitleresque propaganda effort and America will have fallen into a world not too different than Orwell's Oceania because the only thing racist about the Republican and Tea Parties are the accusations from the unhinged Democrats in Hollywood.

Nice post.

In high school I got called racist. It can feel horrible!

My dad had given me a used Pontiac Sunbird that summer. We bondo’d, sanded, painted, sanded, painted, sanded, painted and clear coated it Corvette White. I felt like a rock star driving it to school. A kid down the street asked if he could carpool with me so he didn't have to take the bus. My dad wasn't happy, but I figured it would be no big deal.

I was wrong. The kid was always running late. He left trash in my car. He took the ashtray out and lost it. He wanted to do endless after school errands or pick up people I didn't know... “just one street over! Why are you being such a baby?!”.

After 3 weeks I told him it was time to catch the bus. He told everyone for days that I hated black people, and thought I was too good to have black people in my car. He told kids I said blacks belonged on the bus.

In the lunch room he had a little group around him and he was really getting fired up telling the story for the 100th time. But when he yelled racist to my face, I screamed back at him, “Shut your lying mouth! I don't hate black people. I just hate YOU!”

They called my parents and talked about how they were "very concerned" about me. But my parents were awesome and the students took my side. It was totally worth the disciplinary action. Plus, my reputation grew from being a geeky school newspaper/yearbook girl to a unpredicatable trouble maker overnight!

I might just attack you with my pica ruler. You just can't be sure. I'm crazy like that.
