They’re really nothing more than a collection of unclean, know-nothing “look at me” types. Stupidity and degeneracy are much too kind of words to describe their mindset
They are not anarchists. They are commies. Pure, unadulterated commies hiding behind the ‘anarchist’ label to cover the the commie stench.
Real anarchists hate all institutions including govt. Especially govt. The only complaint you hear here about govt is that they aren’t spreading around enough wealth.
There it is. This is REALLY what they want. They want other people to work so they don't have to.
These freeloaders have been living on the street for three weeks. No one with a job, or even searching for a job, could spend that much time away from home.
they’re cellar dwellers that only pull their faces out of their ipads & smart phones (that mom & dad pay for) to shout something nonsensical for the cameras. In short- they’re losers.
just for the record, when you walk past them, you become aware of a crowd of weirdos, pretty much like any night in west village.
As soon as you cross the street, you're back into a crowd of commuters and tourists and other people who have something useful to do; the crowd of weirdos is instantly fogotten.
the only reason they're getting this much attention is that it "sells papers."
But while Abbie and the Yippies were mainly in it for laughs, today there is a well-organized, well-funded, and sinister presence behind these folks.
didn’t they claim to be anarchists?
This sounds like communism!
liars.
Yep, they are dumbz
Anyone smell ACORN ?.
They want us to be Greece - somehow I don’t see anything good coming from that.
“They are not anarchists. They are commies. Pure, unadulterated commies hiding behind the anarchist label to cover the the commie stench.”
Yup, it’s funny that all the demands pretty much require government to enforce them. How can you be an anarchist when you depend on government coercion?
Demand one: Restoration of the living wage.
Done. Minimum wage is more than enough to live on. See my tagline for starters; next visit http://www.tumbleweedhouses.com/ and http://www.google.com/search?q=free+land next.
Demand two: Institute a universal single payer healthcare system.
Done. You pay for your healthcare. Its a service nobody else is compelled to pay for on your behalf.
Demand three: Guaranteed living wage income regardless of employment.
Done. Your ancestors at some point lived on no income from others, but from the direct fruit of their toil & sweat. Ill give you $10 in seeds and some chickens; you can make it from there.
Demand four: Free college education.
Done. Visit http://ocw.mit.edu and a library - get busy.
Demand five: Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand.
Done. Buy a horse. 10,000 years of human history did fine without fossil fuels.
Demand six: One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now.
Done. We did that, many times over.
Demand seven: One trillion dollars in ecological restoration
Done. You buy $3 in tree seeds and plant them, and persuade 10 of your friends to do the same.
Demand eight: Racial and gender equal rights amendment.
Done. All men (gender-neutral pronoun usage here) are created equal.
Demand nine: Open borders migration.
Done. Youre free to leave.
Demand ten: Bring American elections up to [par].
Done. Become an election observer.
Demand eleven: Immediate across the board debt forgiveness for all.
Done. Nobody owes you anything. Now fulfill the contracts youve agreed to.
Demand twelve: Outlaw all credit reporting agencies.
Done. Cut up your credit card and let your credit score go to zero.
Demand thirteen: Allow all workers to sign a ballot ... to form a union.
Done. Anyone can sign that ballot. And any company can fire you any time for any reason.
Demands fulfilled. Now go home.

How can one collect welfare with no government?
And it’s all so fascist. The late Jerry Williams, a Boston talk radio host who opposed “statism” used to tell this joke:
“Comes the Revolution, comrade, we’ll all eat strawberries and cream.”
“But I don’t like strawberries and cream.”
“Comes the Revolution YOU’LL EAT strawberries and cream!”
[ Watch the TV news and look at these clowns. I seriously doubt that more than 5 percent of them have ever held a job, most are very young, perhaps graduated from high school or are in college and likely have no idea what it takes to earn a living. Somebody is funding these idiots and that’s where the real story is. ]
These “Silver spooners” and “bronze spooners” never even worked a damn day at a McDonalds or any other “menial job” until they got out of college and now have to work as a barista at the local starbucks because they are such a loser to pick a degree in something as useless as “underwater basket weaving”.
They went to college either on their parent’s dole or by voluntarily taking out tens of thousands in student loans all the time partying when they should have been studying and they expect life to be one damn big party. And then they whine about the being in debt when they get their useless degree????? They imposed it on themselves.
Most college kids who actually *gasp* WORK while they are in college actually have skills in terms of actual job hunting and don’t expect the jobs to just come fall into their lap after they walk across the stage on graduation day.
But some parents tell their children, “you shouldn’t have to work while you are in college because you need to study”. That is the worst thing you can do to a kid. Instead of learning valuable job skills during their free time they spend it hanging out and drinking and they graduate as stunted children expecting life to be an endless party.
I worked through college to support most all my costs, I paid off my student loans within 5 years of leaving college, My first job was at a McDonalds in High School and I started college the day after I graduated from High School. And I learned more valuable job skills during my two years in high school working at McDonalds than I ever did in college! I have several jobs when i was in college and after college I worked two jobs at once for a while to pay off debt. I bought my first house shortly after I could legally drink alcohol!!!! And I did it all without much help from Mommy and Daddy. I have even helped out other siblings financially when they hit upon hard times.
It is not about education it is about DRIVE and the way children are abused by liberal thinking has eliminated this drive.
Bunch of damn whack left idiots...
“And its all so fascist. The late Jerry Williams, a Boston talk radio host who opposed statism used to tell this joke:
Comes the Revolution, comrade, well all eat strawberries and cream.
But I dont like strawberries and cream.
Comes the Revolution YOULL EAT strawberries and cream!”
That’s a great one!
The replies at the actual demand site are priceless.

Way too many demands, Lloyd. I’m not the only person saying this. Occupy Wallstreet needs a laser-like focus if you want to get people on your side!

You are so right! Focus the message! Make it a sound bite! Liberals suck at this, but we need to change. Otherwise this looks like a freak show.

These demands are inconsistent. And rather funny.
Take, for example, 1 (no free trade) and 9 (free immigration). they have the same effect, economically speaking
If Foreign is Labour abundant, then free trade would cause wages to fall at home and rise at foreign. Free factor movements (the phrase economists use to describe the movement of capital or labour instead or goods) have the same effect.
Yes, there is a consensus on this.
Try this: http://nationofbeancounters.wordpress.com/2011/10/04/this-is-funnier-if-you-ve-finished-third-year-international-trade/

End The FED! Is something that people on the right and left agree is at the root of the problem. Without the FEDERAL RESERVE, the GOV couldn’t bailout Wall Street, nor could they de-value your money. As for the Government bailing out the american people debt, I’d rather have that then them bailing out Wall Street, but both perpetuate more GOV, as do these overseas wars.

If you want public support to continue to grow we had better shape a living wage platform that the public can sink their teeth in. If generalized statements continue to be the organizing principal of this action then the public won’t continue to lend their trust. They have been burned so many times trusting the campaign rhetoric of the democratic party that they will be very careful to research this actions real platform.

The majority of support you have is young kids who haven’t a clue about what they’re even there for and that list of demands only shows that this is nothing but a liberals wet dream of utopia.
KEEP UP THE FIGHT COMRADES!!

I agree. I’d like to see how they plan to pay for all of these “free” services from the government. Also, if everyone had a college education, a college degree’s value would plummet, causing a higher demand for Masters, PhD’s, etc. Such a myopic list of demands.
I’d like to add a few more:
Make the Middle East stop fighting.
Everyone gets a helicopter that runs on children’s laughter.
Gummy bears are free.
Nobody judges anyone for having dumb ideas or lists of demands. (cough)
The Yippies Redux. Their demands are the same pie in the sky that Hoffmann, Rubin , et al were yappin' about in '68.
