This is circulating around facebook. It's good to see that not all of our youth are buying into these protests.
I blame the banks.
what is a 99%er?
Blame the banks? Why?
There are some 300 million of us who aren’t this so called 99%.
The self-described 99% of people who are “occupying” various places around the country asking for hand-outs.
We are not talking about bikers...LOL..
I’d like to think kids like this are the rule.. not the exception.. Maybe someday.
A large number of our youth are responsible, but there is certainly a growing group of lay-abouts who think they are entitled to a good living.
I’m not one of the 99 percent.
Let’s see.
I have worked since I was 15. I have been a brushcutter, treeplanter, pizza delivery driver, inventory clerk, bookbinder, mail sorter, canvasser, writer, researcher, tutor, teacher and counsellor.
I worked hard, graduated at the top of my class of 400 students.
Went to university, finised up a 4 year degree completely debt free in 8 years. Yes, it took me longer, but I didn’t want to work during the school year.
I live in a small room, don’t want or need an apartment at present. I work as a private school teacher, where I have been teaching now for a year. I, at present, also freelance as a writer, a tutor and a data entry clerk depending on the need.
I own a used vehicle that I paid for from savings. I’m not married yet, or have kids yet, as I am trying to land a full time secure position before settling down. Ask me how I feel as a graduate in 07 about the Obama economy. :)
I’m not one of the 99 percent. Try to live within my means and hunker down waiting for better days yet to come.
Very nice!
I’d like to see every Occupy person get a flier that states:
Paying 50 grand a year to attend a “name” university to obtain a degree that will qualify you to work at Starbucks makes you a dumb@ss.
The occupiers of Wall Street cleverly decided for themselves
the claim that they represent 99% of the population, doing
the Silent Majority one better. The power of propaganda.
Not me, I blame Verlander!
Sorry B@stard making me wait until Saturday to see the Rangers become back to back American League Champions!
Chin up! With a work ethic like yours, you will prosper in the future no matter how bad this economy remains. I, for one, am reassured that there are many young people like you out their who are living responsible lives and forging a great future for themselves and everyone with whom they interact.
Damn Bossa Nova...I hate that guy too.
Thanks. We aren’t all like these idiots.
I hope more FReepers post their stories!
A friend of mine has already re-posted...it could be viral by morning.
