First allow me to establish that I am glad the world is rid of Gaddafi. He was a tyrant and a terrorist. “Sic Semper Tyrannis!”
It cost Americans a little over a billion dollars to send Mr. Gaddafi to his eternal reward where, no doubt, he is stoking the furnaces as we write.
But this is not the end. In fact, it is the “beginning of the beginning.”
I have never been totally satisfied that a democratic form of government will actually work in an Islamic country such as Libya, or Iraq or even Afghanistan, for that matter. They are tribal nations. Even their religion has at least two separate factions, Sunni and Shiite. Unlike Baptists and Methodists – they don’t seem to be particularly fond of each other.
There are a number of folks complaining that the US is taking entirely too much credit for ridding the world of Gaddafi. Frankly, when one considers that Obama decided to “lead from the rear” on this operation it does leave a distinct unpleasant taste in my mouth.
However, we did learn it was a US Predator drone that attacked the Gaddafi convoy accompanied by a French warplane. And even though it was a NATO Operation, it IS interesting to note that US taxpayers foot the bill for some eighty percent of NATO’s budget. And, believe me when I declare that I am not trying to excuse Obama’s crowing about the US involvement in the Libyan operation to lend assistance to the Libyan rebels in their now successful, overthrow of the Gaddafi regime.
The British and the French, I believe, should be getting a huge amount of praise and credit for their tireless efforts to bring about Gaddafi’s overthrow and eventual death.

Now we sit back and watch another Islamic, anti-Israeli state arise.
The expanding mid-East turmoil will add uncertainty to America’s energy supplies and Obama’s agenda to destroy America is advanced.

Once the grisly, inhuman celebrations cease (in about a week), Libya will take on all the appearance and reality of a failed state, like Somalia. It will be broken up into separate tribal fiefdoms, each run by a savage, criminal chieftain. Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups will use it as a base, hatching attacks on Europe and the US. Criminals will also use it as a base, with drug and gun running, sex slaving, and perhaps organ selling as in Kosovo.
After we defeat obama in 2012, we should exile him and Michelle—along with Samantha Power and Hillary and Bill clinton—to Libya, the failed state that they made possible. The Libyan “rebel” savages will know what to do with them!!!!
Now we see which monster leaves most dead bodies in their wake in the fight to the top and hunt for the reset button.
The scary part is the bungled handling of 20,000 SAMs. Already in Gaza and soon they will be coming to an airport near you....... Who will fly after a half-dozen planes go down in the USA from SAMs?
Don’t worry, that’s all part of the One’s plan. What better to disrupt the world that to have an entire region collapse and let radicals take over sophisticated weapons.

According to NATO, they didn't know Gaddafi was in that convoy. Meaning, they decided to destroy it because ... well ... they were enforcing the no-fly zone.
Good riddance to bad garbage. But I'm not convinced his successor won't be worse.
A little context here. The lunar landing cost was approximately $20 billion. Admittedly the $ was worth more in those days, but one wonders a little bit on what the return on investment will be.
