Drug Smuggler Walks; Border Agent Goes to Jail
The Silent Majority ^ | 10-26-11 | Southernman

This story causes such a visceral reaction that it is hard to be objective. After 14 years of service as a police officer I have come to a conclusion:

Despite hundreds of hours of training, rigorous state and federal certification requirements, exhaustive background investigations, drug tests, polygraphs and psychological evaluations required to be a law enforcement officer, the word of a drug smuggler is still given more credence.

The following excerpts are from a story that appeared on the Washington Times website:

U.S. border agent jailed for improper arrest of suspected drug smuggler

A U.S. Border Patrol agent has been sentenced to two years in prison for improperly lifting the arms of a 15-year-old drug smuggling suspect while handcuffed — in what the Justice Department called a deprivation of the teenager’s constitutional right to be free from the use of unreasonable force.

Never mind that fact that this poor soul was caught crossing the border illegally and over one hundred and fifty pounds of Marijuana was recovered. Let’s forget all that and the fact that border agents are routinely assaulted and sometimes killed by these same drug smugglers.

Defense attorneys argued that there were no injuries or bruises on the suspected smuggler’s lower arms where the handcuffs had been placed nor any bruising resulting from an alleged knee on his back. Photos showed the only marks on his body came from the straps of the pack he carried containing the suspected drugs, they said.

Let’s not concern ourselves with the fact that there was no physical evidence obtained that indicated that this illegal alien smuggler was actually beaten or abused.

Our Justice Department?

Eric Holder

Mistake to side with an illegal drug mule over US Pensioned Government Agent.

No wonder he wanted Drug Cartels to have guns to kill the border patrol.

The government can’t have people blocking their drug business.

The Justice Department is being coopted, subverted, and corrupted by Eric Holder and his policies and minions.

God grant that we can turn these criminals and traiers out en masse in 2012.

They are destroying our country.

Ultimately, it will lead to upheaval the likes of which the leftist demonstrators cannot imagine as, at some point, God-fearing, loyal American citizens who are true to their oaths to this nation's constitution reach the breaking point and stop it by the means granted us in the Constitution itself.

Actions like this only serve to push that day closer. God grant in 2012 we can turn this around.

This is effing insane. Improperly lifting a suspect? Really?

This had not better become commonplace or you are going to see LE everywhere stop arresting people for fear of the Holder DOJ clowns swooping in and jailing them for doing their jobs.

That gathering storm is almost upon us. We are dealing with minstrous individuals - killers without conscience. They will not go away merely because we vote them out - if that is even possible now.

Everything I have said about the enemies of God, Man, nature, justice and reason is absolutely true: not only is history my witness, but it is now playing out right before our very eyes.

Big Sis was just testifying before the House earlier today and was asked whether she knew of this case.

She said she was unaware of it.

The questioner continued asking how often she met with Eric Holder, she said not that much.

She was asked if she thought they could perhaps communicate more so that she would be aware of cases where HS agents were being prosecuted and she basically shrugged off the question.

She “didn’t know” about this prosecution. Perhaps she didn’t, perhaps she’s lying.

When you really watch what goes on in DC on C-Span you really get an idea of how incompetent and corrupt things are. What a mess.

This Baptist pastor was tased, beaten and arrested by the BP for refusing to surrender his 4th amendment protected right against unreasonable search and seizure.

Faithful Word Baptist Church

He commited no crime except to insist upon his rights, which Federal and State officers have SWORN to uphold. (Do I need to repeat this?) No BP agent has been arrested for this blatant violation. The illegal alien apparently has enforceable protections, whereas the citizen does not.

Patrick Henry famously said, "Give me liberty or give me death."

I say that I am already free, free by virtue of God, Man, nature, justice and reason and that anyone who attempts to enslave me or my family risks his own death. Here’s the throwdown: there can be no peace, no compromise, and no accommodation – ever – with anyone who views my life, my property, or my children as property. There can be no surrender to those who would take by force that which has been granted to me by my Creator.

I say that those who have labeled me as one of those ‘extremists’ have yet to learn the meaning of the word. But they will, and soon. As the late Barry Goldwater once said, “Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice; moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.“

The final first-principles question is this: To whom does the world belong? Does it belong to extremists like us who wish to live free of coercion? Or does it belong to the killers without conscience – the dark side? Does it belong to those who uphold man's life as the standard of their values, or the dark-siders who uphold the standard of death?

I know the answer to that question.

God bless you my friend. I stand with you!

Truth, justice and liberty WILL win out in the end...it's simply a matter of what transpires in between now and then.

In 2012, I believe there will be a banner year for liberty...if we are blessed and if God smiles richly upon us, we will accomplish it by constitutional, civil means. If not...then we will accomplish it by the other means provided to the people for the security of a free state within the Constituion.

What blatant violation? Do you have any facts? And what does this have to do with a Border Patrol Agent that did nothing wrong going to prison?

I provided a link. I encourage you to explore it. This may help get you started: Not Guilty (again)

I also remarked on the inequity of the cases. I know that the Baptist pastor did nothing to merit scrutiny or his treatment. He was acquitted of the trumped up charges brought against him, which had nothing to do with why he was stopped! And from the immediate thread, the BP agent in the drug arrest appears to have done nothing to merit his conviction. In each case the law is perverted and protects the guilty parties, and not those guilty of violating the law.

Who does it profit? The narco-terrorits and their minion in government on both sides of the border. Both citizens and faithful government agents who are trying to do their job are penalized. What effect do you think this will have? Agents will look the other way, and will find it easier to go after those who are safer to go after, such as Baptist pastors and other groups the government targets with official "hate". Welcome to 1984+27.

Where and when did this incident take place, and where and when was the trial. I have seen 3 threads on this and none of them say.

MAy God grant you increase in your recovery and your health, Jeff. It is no exaggeration to say that the ranks of the Founders had men like yourself standing among them.

Far too many Americans have turned their backs on their heritage of liberty and more importantly, the responsibilities, duties and the habits of mind necessary to its preservation. For them, hard lessons await. For many of them, those lessons will be final and fatal.

Start here and read the related articles under this one.

This from the Wash Times link

“The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas, which brought the charges, is the same office that in February 2006 — under U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton — prosecuted Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean after they shot a drug-smuggling suspect, Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila, in the buttocks as he tried to flee back into Mexico after abandoning a van filled with 800 pounds of marijuana. Aldrete-Davila also was given immunity in the case and testified against the agents.”

“Agents Ramos and Compean were convicted and sentenced to 11 and 12 years in prison, respectively.”

One of the articles I read said that every prosecution out of sutton’s office is purely political. STINKS!
