Michael Moore Confesses: "I Am The 1 Percent"
Bottom Line ^

Anti-capitalist film director Michael Moore has drawn fire in recent days for standing with the Occupy Wall Street protesters while failing to acknowledge that he is part of the 1 percent, not the 99 percent. Now the director of Capitalism: A Love Story and other documentaries has come clean and admitted that he is indeed among the nations wealthiest citizens, but without providing details of just how rich he is. In a post titled Life Among the 1% on his blog Open Mike, Moore recalls how he made his first millions when he sold the distribution rights to his 1989 breakthrough hit Roger & Me. At the time of his $3 million windfall, Moore says he was just getting by on unemployment payments of $98 a week. So what did he do with his newfound wealth? Moore says he proudly paid nearly $1 million in taxes, used $1 million to establish a charitable foundation and spent the other $1 million on a new car, payments on a New York City apartment and more donations, including helping to rebuild a church that had been burned down in his hometown of Flint, Mich. What remained went into a simple, low-interest savings account, Moore said. I made the decision that I would never buy a share of stock a resolution he said this week that he has kept to this day.

Just when you thought it couldn't get worse...Michael Moore opens his fat mouth! I really should have featured him in the latest episode of the Les Dowrey Show about the OWS protestors. If you haven't seen it yet
Watch the episode here! Then give me your thoughts on how we can work in a Michael Moore cameo into the next episode of the show!

Michael Moore leaves out a lot.
This Michigander wants to know if he still opposes the film subsidies he takes.

Reading this man's comments nauseates me. Paints himself as a threadbare saint as he wallows in wealth gained from running down the system that profited him.
Such rank hypocrisy is sickening.

So he’s loaning the “evil” banks his money? Accepting the scraps they give him as interest. How noble./s
I think I dislike him even more, if that’s possible. Lord forgive me.

"These are large, multinational corporations Viacom, GE, Rupert Murdoch that own these studios. Why do they need our money, from Michigan, from our taxpayers, when we're already broke here? I mean, they play one state against the other, and so they get all this free cash when they're making billions already in profits. What's the thinking behind that?"
-Michael Moore in 2008 complaining about film subsidies in Michigan.
In 2009 he took a million dollar subsidy to make "Capitalism, a love story".
As a Michigander who has been victimized by Fat Mikey, I would like to personally invite the occupiers to spend the winter in the warmth of Fat Mikey's 7 million dollar cabin at Torch lake. After all, I helped pay for it so y'all can come on up and make yourselves at home.

Like most leftie celebs, Moor is “all hat and no cattle” when it comes to “spreadin’ the wealth around”:

It’s too easy to call him a hypocrite...when will someone step up and do a documentary on the world’s biggest (!) hypocrite?

Which, conveniently enough, allows him to make money without paying taxes on it.

his opposition to the capitalist system, saying it exploits the vast majority so that the few at the top can enrich themselves more. Capitalism is the system that is compatible with true justice, freedom, natural rights, and the nature of man as a rational being. In a free society, if someone is being exploited, he is free to use his reason to change his circumstances to one of non-exploitation.

Then give me your thoughts on how we can work in a Michael Moore cameo into the next episode of the show! He can be the guy who's mooching all the food that has been the subject of the OWSers' complaints this past week.
