This is going around the Blaze, Facebook, and other sites right now. It seems a staffer in an opponents camp magically knew this was coming a few days before it hit and, shock, tweeted about it.

According to FOX a lot of reporters have been asking the Cain campaign people about it for a week or two, and Cain’s people knew nothing about it, or so they said.

Ace of Spades blog had information a month ago about more than the 2 settled suits.

There has also been other issues particularly about his campaign manager’s lack of financial ethics that was being discussed during that time frame.

What was it the Perry supporters kept saying? This is the vetting process, get used to it.

Cain’s camp apparently knew about the charge THREE WEEKS before it came out. Why they just sat on it, I don’t know. Politico had apparently gone to him and asked if he had any comments on it.

So I would imagine it was being pretty heavily discussed and probably had become known to people on other campaigns, too, but none of them seem to have made it public.

If you want to look for the source, look at Obama. He used exactly the same technique (releasing ugly divorce proceedings, in that case) on his GOP rival for office years ago in Chicago.

You know what, you’re doing the same thing to Perry’s campaign that someone else is trying to do to Cain. Plant some halfbaked and unproven accusation and let them try to defend it. Evil. Just as evil as what’s happening to Cain.
