I urge you to consider a pump action shotgun (Mossberg 500 is what I have) and 100 rounds of buckshot. A shotgun is a good intimidating weapon and could at times be enough to convince and bad guy that the price is just going to be to high.

Slugs will be handy too for taking down big game -- deer and elk in rural areas; Libs and Progressives in metro areas.

I almost bought the Mossberg but went for the Remington equivalent. It was the one on sale. I consider the two to be “ford or chevy”. I’d be happy with either.
