I watched the train wreck just now and was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, etc. Couldn’t come up with anything. You may be right though. Still - doesn’t look good. Too bad it couldn’t have been Romney looking like the deer in the headlights.
The average person does not watch these debates or read Drudge.

Now all the Perry backers can fall in line with Mittens. Because you know that’s what they’re going to do.

Understand your point, and agree that most people will too, but the problem will be the big money guys, and I will be surprised if they don’t close up their checkbooks after this performance.
Perry was ona roll tonight. He looked much better, and he got too excited about what he was GOING to say next and was already past it before his mouth could catch up with his thoughts.
Watching what happened was awful. And I honestly wish it hadn’t happened. Not that way.

I forgive Perry, but I also now firmly believe and know that he is not able to stand on the same stage with those running to become the GOP nominee.
This is a contest for the highest office in the land. There is just no room for THAT sort of goof up.
Six weeks. In under nine weeks the first votes are cast. For his/your sake, you need to be correct. By itself, it would not have hurt him. Coupled with the drugged/drunk look and other bombs, it will make devastating ads - much as what was used on Dole.
