Simple rule of thumb for Freepers should be.
Don’t just spend your time trash talking the other candidates, make a case FOR your candidate.
If you throw punches around, people are going to punch back.

Oh, waaa waaa. The primaries are where the fight is fought, after that support goes to the victor.
My experience is when people write a blurb like this they are a rino supporter, it may not be in your case at all, that’s just my experience.

There are some Freepers who seem to really, really hate certain candidates. A majority of their post are saying sometimes nasty and mean things about that candidate. This is so typical of whats wrong with Republicans and Conservatives in general. It's called the primaries. It's ALWAYS been this way......for both sides.

There is no civil discourse even if you agree on core issues which I do: Abortion, Second Amendment. If you voice your opinion lately, it gets quite nasty.

True, they seem to be forgetting Reagan’s “11th” commandment.
“Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican” ~ President Ronald Reagan
The following can be said of the recent slew of GOP debates: informative, tense, entertaining, captivating, and at times combative. Post-debate comments have ranged from “these two have a personal dislike for one another,” to “they are all ganging up on one guy,” to “whatever happened to Reagan’s 11th commandment?”

Word of warning, pwatson... the very thing you complain of is company policy here at FR, with certain issues and especially with certain candidates. If you were hoping for civil discourse I’m afraid you’ll have to start your own forum.

Bachmann, great ideas but jumped the gun to many times and eventually showed she needed to what she says a little better.Care to re-write that sentence? I can't figure it out.

Immature people who are incapable of disagreeing without fighting. I understand spirited debate, but the fighting is stupid. Luckily, I think most freepers do not fit that description, but there are a few who do, and of course, those are the ones who stick out the most and are most noticable.
Don't let the 5% ruin it for the 95%.

Romney, a smart guy, typical East Coast liberal Country Club Republican, not a Conservative or Libertarian by any measures. He is more of a wonk than a leader and not my choice.Just an FYI, I agree with your synopsis on the previous candidates. I like Cain and Newt, and could hold my nose for Perry if he gets the nomination. That said, FR is officially anti-Romney, and with damn good reason. He is indeed a fifth columnist within the GOP and there is no room on FR for progressive socialist-lite Romney-bots.

Ouch.
I may write a blurb just for fun and get your take.
