Colin Powell says the Occupy Wall Street protests are “as American as apple pie,” and political leaders need to do more than just “scream” at the demonstrators.
“Demonstrating like this is as American as apple pie. We’ve been marching up and down and demonstrating throughout our history,” the former secretary of state said on CNN Thursday night.

I hope I’m not late. This is the thread where I shred a four star General, NSA, and SOS and lament on what a piece of crap he is, even though he amounted to far more than 99% of us will ever be? Cool, I wouldn’t want to miss on slamming an American hero with a softball opinion he said off the cuff and without much depth cause my opinion is different than his on this single subject. I remember feeling disappointed when Powell’s wife forced him him to bow out of the presidential race because she was afraid he’d be shot. Now I realize it is we who dodged a bullet.

Just something about the way the dogpile looked like it was going to form..I thought I would try and atleast remind that he isn’t a complete enemy. I don’t know. I like the guy lol...Met him in 2003, and thought he seemed pretty warm and sincere.
