Those Roman duds need some attention. The Spartacist slave at right is wearing what looks like it's trying to be an Imperial Italic Type H or J helmet from 100 AD or later (the crossed reinforcing straps on top are Trajanic, a legacy of the Dacian War, when the Dacians were armed with long swords with can-opener tips) .... the Servile War was fought in 71-70 BC, when Cicero was a young man of 35 or so, and just returning from his service as a quaestor in Sicily, and preparing to indict and prosecute the infamous governor of Sicily, Gaius Verres.
