Driving to my office this morning, a car covered with more than half a dozen bumper stickers. From top to bottom, the three on the right side of the trunk:

God Bless the Whole World. No Exceptions.

It’s Never Right to Hit a Child.

Keep Abortion Legal.

TOPICS: Politics; Society
KEYWORDS: abortion; progressives

Ain’t irony wonderful?

Let me guess ... somewhere there was also the scratched-out remnants of one reading “Dissent is Patriotic”?

“It’s never right to hit a child,” but “it’s perfectly acceptable to kill one.”

Perfect example of how the liberal mind works (or doesn’t).

Other than that, words escape me.

What does he have against that one?

God Bless the Whole World. No Exceptions.

Back in the early 80’s I was a commercial real estate agent in downtown Seattle. One day, six of us were in one car on our weekly viewing of new commercial building listings. I made the comment that you always see liberal bumper stickers on older Volvos because Liberals tend to own them, not being able to afford new ones. I was so vilified for stereotyping that I made a bet (loser pays for winner’s lunch) with three of the guys in the car that the next 3 year old or older Volvo we saw would have a liberal bumper sticker on it.

We were in the Queen Anne hill area and took a short cut through a residential neighborhood. Within 1 and a half blocks of making the bet, we passed a parked older Volvo, mustard yellow, and a few rust spots. It had roughly a DOZEN bumper stickers on it. The three I distinctly remember were a Greenpeace sticker, a “save the whales” sticker (also probably greenpeace) and an “I support the ERA” sticker.

I enjoyed three free lunches.

I am a firm believer in stereotyping. It served me well as a salesperson. However, one must only use it as a starting point and quickly adjust for an individual’s unique qualities, or even their defying the original stereotype.

Another example of the bento box-like compartmentalization of the liberal mindset - necessary to keep it from collapsing under the weight of its own contradictions.

Yeah well I saw this Facebook post today,

“THANKS ...American Indians for GIVING.....your land to form this PERFECT UNION!”

Had to calm myself down because I almost went off on this Lib.

After Obama’s election I noticed some bumper stickers on cars from the previous administration, which now had a new meaning

He is NOT my president

I love my country but I fear my government

F The President

(Moonbats too lazy to take em off...for awhile I still saw Kerry-Edwards stickers on cars and I still do see Obama
stickers on some cars, though as I understand it
“anti-Obama merchandise” is now outselling pro-, at least in terms of T-shirts.
Doing a search for “anti Obama T shirts” turns up sites like this:

I decided to reply... Here is my friendly reply,

Well in our politically correct world you should say, “Native Americans” ;-) At any rate, unfortunately most countries in the world were Tribes before they were countries formed by war and bloodshed.

Maybe because keeping abortion legal is making a pretty huge exception for unborn babies?

My parent's neighbors had a hippie-dippie daughter, who drove a VW microbus covered in bumperstickers.

Dad liked to go over after dark and put "NRA" or "GOP" ones, right in the middle of the mess. :-)
