This tells only half the story. The 1986 bill included a number of provisions that would have radically reduced the number of illegals coming here: that was the bargain Reagan drove: amnesty for certain illegals, and Congress was going to impose measures that would curtail the continued invasion. But it didnt work, and it didnt work for two reasons: 1) Reagan failed to realize the Congress was (is) unscrupulous and had no intention of living up to the enforcement and border security parts of the deal and 2) Reagan failed to remember that you get more of any kind of behavior that you reward. Total FAIL.Dems (and sometimes RINOs) run the same play over and over and the GOP falls for it: Make a deal and then don't honor your end of it. Remember Reagan in 1982 "The tax increase is the price we have to pay to get the budget cuts"?

This is the standard stuff coming from the progressives, That Reagan who they demonized as an insane suicidal (nationally) dictator was really one of them on positions like taxes and immigration, in fact it must be everything.
Look leftists, it’s not 1980, not close. So FU
