How about a set about the birth of Mohammed. Think the Muslims would take it in jest like we do.

My God, that has to be some of the worst writing I’ve ever seen.
Tackier by far than the nativity scenes.

I guess I was raised “old school”. Most of the depictions just aren’t my cup of tea. It’s one thing to build your own nativity scene and quite another to “symbolize” baby Jesus as a kitten or a duck. To each his or her own... but I stick with more of the traditional types.

Nativity #15 appears to be the Veggie Tales characters so the figures would all be vegetables. The Veggie Tales series is actually very cute - they are singing animated vegetables who act out bible stories.
I think the concept of vegetables representing the Holy Family is a bit out there, however

The following observation is slightly off topic: the only place I could find a Nativity set for sale was the HallMark store. I did not see them at Wal-Mart, K-Mart, or other spots in the mall.

A neighborhood in Austin is well known in that area for it’s annual decorations. Years ago, my wife and I walked the neighborhood to see the displays. Set up in the back window of a VW Microbus (this is Austin after all) was the “surgeon Mary and the little baby cheeses.” Barbie in a doctor outfit and a bunch of little cubes of cheese.
Yeah ... Austin’s weird.

I saw a great Nativity scene in a piece of toast the other day. It’s gone, now.
