Televangelist Joel Osteen: Obama ‘has reached out to us’
The Daily Caller ^ | 11/28/2011 | Caroline May

Posted on 12/01/2011 4:33:21 PM PST by Gamecock

Televangelist and senior pastor of Houston’s Lakewood Church Joel Osteen explained on Fox News Channel’s “Huckabee” over the weekend that President Barack Obama reached out to Osteen and Lakewood.

“He has reached out to us,” Osteen said. “And we have done some of the leadership things there at the White House with him and been able to pray with him — just simple things like that. And he’s been very kind and friendly to our ministry.”

A number of Americans still have questions about Obama’s religious beliefs. Whether it is due to his 20 year attendance at the Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity United Church, polls indicating that 12 percent of Americans still believe that he is a Muslim, or the first family’s decision to not regularly attend church, the president’s Christian faith has not been an easy issue for the White House.

Earlier in the segment, host Mike Huckabee delved into Osteen’s thoughts on if Obama should attend church more regularly. Osteen was forgiving.

“You know I think it would be great. You know, I am probably too full of mercy and to say, you know, maybe all the things that come with the presidency, the security and all that — maybe that plays into it,” Osteen said. “But I believe he loves the Lord and things. I don’t know. But in the ideal world, yes [he would attend regularly].”

Obama explained in 2010 that he will not be joining a church while president because it is too disruptive.

In 2010, Osteen attended Obama’s Easter breakfast at the White House.

Just one look of his constantly smiling mug with his perfect hair should scare anybody from sending money to his “ministry”.

&&&
Not to mention that annoying blinking.

The snake oil salesman pastor could barely get the words out of his mouth. He loves the Lord and things? Stop it, Joel. Just stop it. I'm actually embarrassed for you.

I did not know that about Osteens beginnings but I can't stand to listen to the blubbering fool. We have some very good friends and devout Christians who hang on his every word. I don't understand how they can be so devoted to him and his church. They are Catholic turn evangelical. They haven't asked us to go to church with them but I already know I am busy then. :)

‘has reached out to us’<<<

Sound like a good description of a pickpocket.

Or a molester.

The emperor and his court jesters have no clothes.

If Obama reaches out to you, cover your wallet with one hand and flip him off with the other.

WILLOW CREEK

I heard Osteen say this last week. Many of these Evangelical mega-church preachers have been in the tank for Obama They are hardcore left wing radicals.

Aaron Klein, in his new book, Red Army,  explores the relationship of Lynne Hybels, wife of Willow Creek Community Church founder, Bill Hybels. She is now on Obama’s “Spiritual Council” as his “spiritual advisor”

Willow Creek is outside Chicago, and runs scams charging enormous fees to “advise” other churches.

The Hybels, and Willow Creek are deeply rooted in Marxist-Leninist, Hegelian Dialectic NWO ideology. Bill Clinton gave his infamous “Monica Lewinsky Mea Culpa” live from Willow Creek with Bill Hybels at his side. It was broadcast live to hundreds of churches around the country.

NB Google “Willow Creek” & “Hegel”
for more. Links are routinely scrubbed. This is an important topic.

Let’s not forget!

Obama wins back Catholic vote
http://www.cathnews.com/article.aspx?aeid=9996
Incoming US President Barack Obama has won back a significant proportion of the Catholic vote previously lost to George Bush, electoral analysts say.

The International Herald Tribune quoted several religious experts saying that the swing in the Catholic vote in this year’s election may be one of the more significant political developments, despite the emphasis that Democrats have put on attracting evangelical voters.

Although Kerry is Catholic, he won only 47 percent of Catholic voters, while Bush drew 52 percent. That represented a reversal from 2000 when Gore won 50 percent of Catholics and Bush won 47 percent.

On Tuesday, Catholics, who accounted for about a quarter of the electorate, supported Obama, at 54 percent, over McCain, at 45 percent.

“A number of Americans still have questions about Obama’s religious beliefs.”

...as well as Joel Osteen’s religious beliefs.

“But I believe he loves the Lord and things. I don’t know."

What an inane statement. At best, Joel Osteen is a sort of life coach with vaguely Christian themes that he regularly subverts, for the nicest of reasons and in the nicest of ways.

President Barack Obama reached out to Osteen and Lakewood.

Yes, Osteen and Lakewood, that is a knife in that outstretched hand.

I notice that too. This guy is always smiling, like he’s ready to tell jokes, or ready to hit the punch line of the story, which we anticipate will be funny.

We don’t know for sure what’s in his heart. But I don’t care for his public persona, and wonder how many people he really leads towards his faith.

This certainly ends any doubt—Osteen clearly has made a pact with the Devil.
