Encouragement for Herman Cain
http://www.hermancain.com/encouragement ^

Posted on 12/01/2011 8:25:19 PM PST by Apollo5600

From Team HC: Please take a moment to write Mr. Cain a note or record a short video sharing why you feel it is important for him to stay in the race and become the next President of the United States of America! We must unite and show Mr. Cain that he is not alone in this fight, but that WE THE PEOPLE stand firmly beside him and behind him! http://www.hermancain.com/encouragement

Apollo5600: I'm starting to get the feeling that Cain's staff are doing their best to keep Cain encouraged. It's quite tragic what is happening to Cain and our political system here. Please everyone, take the time to send Cain a message expressing your support or, at least, encouraging him to stay. The link above is pretty easy to use. You can submit straight to the website. It won't be trolled, since they are moderator reviewed.

I wrote a long one, "Ricardo Galvan" if you happen to see it. Probably hasn't been approved yet.

I see, so this is kinda like giving him a big cyber hug to help him keep from crying while he’s in a sad mood.

Hey, maybe it would be better if we sent him songs to help him.

Here’s mine.

He says he was helping her with month to month bills. Why? Its a good question. Has he helped any male friends for 13 years with month to month bills?

How old are her children. Could it be that we have a little Arnold Schwarzenegger problem going on here?....

Speaking as a woman ;) and wife, l’d already know what kind of caring man my husband is and I’d be doggone proud of him.

A woman who is truly LOVED by her husband has a look of calm peace. I SEE that in Mrs. Cain.

This isn’t a soap opera. Certain people need to come to grips with that.

Sorry, but this whole thing does not rise to the level of discarding Cain from consideration.

I supported Cain, and took my daughter to see him when he came through Alabama last month, and even got pictures. I even defended him against Gloria and the Bimbo accusers. Innocent until proven guilty.

However, giving money to a woman not your wife, and then not telling your wife, for more than a decade, mind you, shows very poor judgment, IMHO. Granted, he has been married for 40 years, but his "compassion" towards the other woman is misplaced, ill advised, and frankly stupid. It appears scandalous. I feel for his wife, and now expect more to come. And with his admission of secret financial support, I now have doubts about the veracity of his previous denials. He has lost me.

Friend, that is the most well-reasoned post that I’ve seen, regarding the smear campaign against Herman Cain.

You would be doing the whole forum a favor if you copied and pasted it into Cain threads for the next couple of days (ignore any charges of ‘spamming’).

Very well said.

Listen, this is nothing like what they did to Sarah! They butchered Sarah and out and out lied about her.

Cain actually DID have sexual harrassment charges against him; he also has had an extramarital relationship with a woman for 13 years, paying her money.

Here is a suggestion: If you run for public office and have dirt in your closet, realise that it will be swept out in public and thrown on everyone you love.

He said in multiple interviews he’s been talking to his wife every day on the phone. They just haven’t been present together with one another, and he stated he wanted to sit down with the whole family at once.

Touchy-feely BS between spouses only makes a difference in government affairs when the AP sparks your emotions. Get over it.

If a man can't keep the vow made to his wife, can he be expected to keep his vow to his country. And then there is the blackmail factor.

Voters don’t like candidates with secret lives. It naturally makes them wonder what else he is keeping secret. Keeping a secret from your spouse who is supposed to be there in complete support just makes it even worse.

Voters don’t like candidates who appear to be a soft touch. It is one thing to give someone a loan or even an outright gift, but to keep doing it many, many times for years and years makes you wonder why the candidate can’t say no, which is what a friend really needs to hear.

“Friends” who asks for money over and over and over without paying it back are not actually friends, but sponges. It is hard to understand why someone would call them a friend, when clearly they are not. If you can’t say no to a so-called friend, then how is this person going to say no to congress or some foreign leader or to special interest groups?

The poster of the thread is here all of two weeks. Does that make the thread invalid? Or him a troll? I’ve seen him post virulently anti-Newt stuff, which, together with this thread, makes him at least suspect. Pretty aggressive behavior for a ‘noob.’

I suspect if Jesus would run for the office you’d reject Him, too. Whatever. I do not share your haste in judging another. This whole onslaught of innuendo against one who is willing to seve in our midst, albeit with weaknesses we all share, arises from the Accuser. He can bite me.

Don’t know why you’ve made up your mind so quickly, but it’s your mind. Have fun.

Good to hear! And I doubt that your caring husband would befriend and give financial support to a woman you were not even aware existed for 13 years. Seems her name would have come up maybe once?

I bet if you found out through someone else that this had been ongoing for that length of time, you might have some justification for being suspicious.

Good points. I just don’t care to draw the same conclusions. I accept that people in government have private lives, and that they are capable of making a distiction between the two when serving.

I’m with you. I now doubt his veracity regarding the other matters, even though I defended him up until yesterday.

What are your credentials?

Are you with any particular political campaign such as Cain, Perry, Bachmann?

I support Herman Cain. Wherein lies your support for the candidates this time around, and why might I ask did you sign up for FR within the last month? I am more than happy to tell you why I signed up 12 years ago by the way. You are extremely new and vocal here (and there is usually a period of transition into FR and particualarly during hot election seasons we "old timers" are always on guard), and so I want to be fair with the application of my theory here and not hypocritical (your status was illuminated to me by one other long time FR poster here).

Funny how you attack Cain, but then support Newt a serial Cheater. Hey that’s okay right????

I don’t understand why Cain took her on multiple Las Vegas trips and to boxing matches, etc. People here comment that Cain is just being generous and helping out a friend, but how does taking this woman who is not your wife on a trip to Vegas help her to pay her bills? Someone please explain that to me, because I can’t even think of an excuse for that.

Sneaking around behind your wife’s back to take a female “friend” to Vegas for the weekend doesn’t sound like the kind of man I would want married to my daughter, for example. Whether or not he makes a good leader can be argued, but I have to question the character of a man who would do that to his wife and not tell her at some point.
