No one knows when the Time will come,
Jesus specifically said that no man knows the day or hour, but He said that within the context of watching the signs of the times to know the general time of His coming and that we are to watch and be ready for in a day and hour that we aren't expecting, He will come.
Matthew 24:32-44 32"From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. 33So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates. 34 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

The MotB will not sneak up on you and you unknowingly accept it - you will know exactly what it is and what it means.
And again I assert that over the last 2000 years there have been literally thousands of preparations for the coming of the mark - should we go nuts every time another one comes along? I think not. We have been instructed to remain vigilant (meaning always being with HIM) and to spread the Good News, not get all bent out of shape about the fact that the LORDS plan is progressing.
IOW - relax! If you have accepted the LORD as your saviour (and I am NOT questioning that!) and you remain with HIM - HE will not allow you to be deceived! It will get rather unpleasant and we will likely suffer a great deal prior to HIS coming - but that is a part of the choice ...
