The ID card, in an of itself, is not a big deal, aside from putting people who were previously free in a situation where they have to "produce papers". However, the ID card combined with the fact that we have the technology, already in use and being used like the prophecy in Revelation 13 states it will be, is the issue.
I guess all those cards we now have are also a part of the global conspiracy - banks, insurance companies, the Illuminati and all the rest (depending on who you listen too, the list is EXTREMELY long) in one big old conspiracy - centuries old - with only one purpose ....
Well, someone is producing these things and introducing them into the world and requiring their use in some circumstances and I bet we can safely say that it's not somebody with a card making machine in his mother's basement.
No one knows when the Time will come, - AND No one knows when the LORD has decided that thier time has come;
No one knows the day or the hour, but Jesus said we will know when we are in the season of His return. After giving His disciples the signs of when He will return He said:
so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. 34“Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. (Matthew 24:33,34)
And, Jesus tells those who know Him as Savior that they will know the season of His return:
But you brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief; for you are sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; so then let us not sleep as others do." (1 Thessalonians 5:4)
So, while no one knows the day or the hour, we will know when we are in the season of His return, based on the signs given for that return in the Book that God has written and given to us, and we are also commanded to watch for His return:
Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back - whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: 'Watch!' (Mark 13:35-37)
"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come." (Matthew 24:42)
So, according to Jesus Christ, we will know the season He will return, and we are commanded to watch for His return.
The LORD did not command us to try and stand in the way - or try to “scare” others with End Times prophecies. He commanded us to spread the Good News to everyone.
God is the One Who put the prophetic Scripture in the Bible. Do you think He did it to scare people, or to warn the world of what is coming so that people would come to Him and be saved and be taken from the wrath that is to come as He promised? Do you think that those who take Christ's command to warn the world of His return seriously and spread that warning are "scaring" people? If you are driving on a highway, and I know that a bridge that goes across two mountain ranges is out, and I warn you about the danger you face, am I "scaring" you? Wouldn't you like to know about the impending danger so that you could take the necessary steps to avoid it?
What? You mean you can’t buy or sell without some mark?
The technology to place a mark on your hand and/or forehead is something “new”?
I certainly hope your not using those cards then ...
And since you too seem to think you can just wait for the signs, why does GOD command us to stay awake?

Again, this is exactly what I said - the MotB will not sneak up on up us and take us unawares if we stay awake (which means to stay with GOD).
If you think that you will convince a non-believer by threatening him with Fire & Brimstone - IOW, not through the promise GOD’S Love, but through the threat of GOD’S wrath - I have a funny feeling that you misunderstood something along the way.

I’m beginning to wonder . . . what percentage of those allergic to Biblical Prophecy maintain such a stance because they can’t bear the thought that their cozy construction on reality is not going to last much longer?
