Need a nice flashback to 1995? Well, back then New Gingrich has just ascended to Speaker of the House and was hit with an endless fusillade of attacks by the lamstream media. They threw the kitchen sink at him, from the infamous Connie Chung interview with his mother to shamelessly using his gay stepsister as a weapon against him. So during this current cycle we'd been wondering where Candace Gingrich was.

Newt Gingrich might be confident he's got the votes to be the Republican presidential nominee, but he may have trouble convincing his own family to support him
The gay half-sister of the ex-House Speaker said Wednesday she’s going to stick with President Obama because of her sibling’s stance on same-sex marriage.
So she'll be voting for Obama over her step-brother because of gay marriage, an issue on which Obama has the exact same viewpoint as Newt Gingrich.
Is Ms. Gingrich-Jones even aware of that? We doubt it. Liberals are never the most informed people out there. Meanwhile, if you think dredging up 1995 is bad enough, how about going back to 1977 for some juicy tidbits?

Seriously, I could think of reasons not to vote for Newt, but this is not one of them. If anything, this could get him some sympathy votes.
