On Wednesday, a group of high school athletes at a Long Island school were suspended for staging a spontaneous bout of Tebowing in their high school's hallway.
According to Connor Carroll, a senior, the Riverhead administration handed out one-day suspensions to four student athletes after a group of Riverhead students decided to spontaneously hold a group Tebowing session in the school.
Tebowing, a relatively harmless act which emerged amidst the rapid rise of the Denver Broncos quarterback, is meant to be an homage to the second-year passer's religiously focused touchdown celebrations.
While as many as 40 teens (with some participants representing nearly each athletic program in the school) joined in on the spontaneous in-school Tebowing, only four -- Carroll and his brother, Tyler Carroll, both of whom are football and baseball players, as well as Wayne Drexel (also a football player) and Jordan Fulcoly (a soccer player) -- were handed one-day suspensions for what can only be described as somewhat specious reasons: Blocking the school's hallways.
Still, Carroll insisted that there was plenty of room for anyone to pass by while the athletes were Tebowing, raising plenty of questions about what the teens were really punished for. After all, the last time Prep Rally checked, honoring Tim Tebow wasn't illegal. In fact, it seems to be incredibly popular.
"The administration told us that our Tebowing was blocking the halls and could potentially cause a riot, because they were growing in number and if the wrong kid gets pushed a brawl could ensue," Carroll told Prep Rally. "We had no idea that we could get suspended for such a thing. It was a joke between a group of friends that took a life of its own. We figured at the most we would just be told to stop."

I couldn't find a photo of American school kids doing it, but did turn up this photo of British school kids taken to a mosque and forced to do it. And I've heard of such things here, as well.
Hope they aren’t praying to Obammy. But I still don’t get why God would care about a football touchdown.
6th graders from Wellesley, MA middle school were taken on a class trip to a moderate mosque in May. The boys and girls were separated and the boys then joined Muslim men in a prayer to Allah. This was a public school field trip to the largest mosque in the Northeast. Teachers did not intervene. Parents were not told.
Someday is today. I now firmly believe America is going to reap what it sowed. As more and more of us turn from God...
I am spending the next 10 months preparing for what I believe is inevitably coming our way.
He doesn’t. However he does bless his children. How ironic that everyone is talking about Christ again.
Tebow gives glory to Him for All his blessings not just football.

Oh for f's sake.
I would call this phrasing an example of "ideological qualifiers". As with the description of the Occupiers as "mostly peaceful" the writer can't help himself. He finds himself compelled to reveal his prejudices through the use of qualifiying adverbs.
Reminds me of that one verse the apostle Paul wrote to Timothy: “ALL those who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus WILL be persecuted.”
Time to have students in EVERY high school do mass ‘Tebows’!
(They could call it the “Instantaneous Occupy Heaven’” movement...that way, school administrators will let them camp out in Tebow postures for months on end!)
It’s a moderate mosque because the visiting girls were not raped and the boys were not beheaded.
ALL those who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus WILL be persecuted.
Especially where the public schools are concerned. They generally have a problem with anything resembling free will.
