This week the Department of Interior (DOI) sold its first oil lease in the Gulf of Mexico in over a year. Withholding drilling permits and cancelling leases, the Obama Administration has made what was once routine nearly impossible. Upon assuming office, President Obama cancelled 31 oil and gas lease sales, delaying thousands of jobs and billions in economic activity. Not letting any crisis go to waste, the Department of Interior imposed a six month drilling moratorium on the Gulf following the Macondo disaster. The Obama Administration’s recent offshore drilling plan codifies the White House’s anti-energy, anti-jobs position. The Obama 2012-2017 draft drilling plan closes a majority of the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) to new energy production. In fact, less than 3 percent of America’s OCS will be available for development.

You have no idea how right you are. Try selling something to a foreign company that is a friendly trading partner with the US. We just went through that wringer. It was unbelievable and any stories you may have heard about the DHS are all true. Everything is geared to slow you down or stop you from conducting business. It took so long to get the approval that the contract expired and the buyer backed out. If it was not for a US Congressman getting involved we would still be waiting. They actually do try to get you to tell them what political party you belong to. We said none of your bizwax.

Obama’s main objective is to destroy the economic framework of the US so it can be replaced with Marxism. That means the middle class has got to go. They have to lump us all into a semi poverty class of proletariat. For some reason the republican party is allowing this to happen.

I think productivity is by its very nature offensive to Progressives. Any recognition that value must be created flies directly in the face of Marxist notions that we all should ‘share’ some sort of pre-existing pool of wealth.
