Car Dealers: In 2009, though everyone knew that the problems dooming Chrysler and General Motors were their enormous property and property tax obligations caused by too big, too old, factories, and their utterly unsupportable labor and pension costs, Barack Obama ordered the closure of over 3000 auto dealerships. Now, maybe many of those dealers were good Republicans, but what of their mechanics, their salesmen, their janitors, their accountants and finance experts? These were probably a normal cross-section of the country – equal parts Republican, Democrat, and independent. And they all know that they were fired by Barack Obama....

He has no right, and he’s exceeded his (and his administration’s) authority in every one of the examples I listed. But the fact of it being a usurpation of rights is a hard case to make in a campaign commercial...
...while the simple fact that “Obama’s czar put my employer out of business” is much easier to understand, and I think it will have a real impact on the fall campaign. As it should.

The Democrat controlled Congress did.
Not only that, but the Obama regime knowingly and actively broke many laws,including bankruptcy laws, in plain sight of the media, and not a single objection from them.
It really is stunning how the media is unabashedly working towards a totalitarian government.

No, they just allowed existing laws to go unenforced. That, and overwhelming support from the populace at the time - much of what that article reports occurred in 2009 - allowed the administration to get away with stuff like bullying the GM and Chrysler bondholders into accepting pennies on the dollar.

And I didn’t hear much protest from the Republicans. I suspect Obama knows all of the politicians are so corrupt that he can do anything he wants, and our corrupt representatives don’t dare to object.

There has been massive opposition from the Republicans.
During Obama’s first two years, the GOP was so small that it was frozen out of arguments - Republican bills couldn’t get called for a vote, let alone pass.
Since 2010’s election, however, the GOP membership has stopped the furtherance of most of these problems, and has opened congressional investigations on many of the administration’s actions. But again, while the GOP has the house, it doesn’t have the senate, so we still can’t stop a lot of it.
In 2012, we need to win the senate too, as well as the presidency.

Oh yes, abclily, there’s always hope.
But it’s touch-and-go.
After the stupidity of the 17th amendment, we were in danger.. after the FDR administration it got harder... after LBJ it got harder still... then in the 70s, three liberals in a row (two GOP and one Dem) nearly destroyed us... but eight years of Reagan brought us back from the brink.
But the country forgot 1980 fast. Too fast. and we let it happen again, and worse. Obama is like FDR, LBJ, and Carter all rolled into one.
The country can’t keep closing its eyes every time we have a victory. To a lot of people, 2010 was enough... and to more of them, 2012 will be enough; they’ll think that once we kick out the dems, all will be well.
Sadly, no such luck. Every two years is another opportunity for the left to sneak back in. The middle needs to learn their lesson for good, and stop getting talked into liberalism in November... or into moderation in the GOP in the spring.
Only conservative republicans can be trusted with public office.
