Did Bo Return From Hawaii for Obama’s Photo Op?

Bo Obama was supposed to be in Hawaii. Instead, he showed up at President Obama’s side Wednesday shopping for treats at PetSmart

According to Michelle Obama’s press office, the first dog was planning to go to Hawaii with the first lady and the Obama daughters. The Chicago Sun-Times reported that he in fact had gone there. The Honolulu Star-Advertiser quoted an eyewitness who said he had seen the Portuguese Water Dog having his walk.

So what is Bo doing back in Washington shopping at PetSmart?

Either these reports are mistaken, or Bo was told his vacation was over and that he had to return to the White House to keep a lonely president company – and participate in a silly photo op presenting Obama as an average guy who likes to head out to the PetSmart.

If Bo returned from Hawaii, who paid for his flight?

There is a special “5 Day or less” quarantine program in Hawaii along with the normal 120 day program

I suspect Obozo would qualify for that, not that I'm saying one way or another that the Dog went.

WASHINGTON—While President Obama delayed his departure to wrestle with Congress, First Lady Michelle, daughters Malia, 13, Sasha, 10 and Bo the dog flew to Hawaii for their annual winter vacation.

The Hawaii newspapers are keeping tabs on the First Family. They arrived in Hawaii on Saturday. The First Family returned to a rental home in Kailua, Oahu, they have stayed in previous years.

Dog needs some training, as does the so called ‘master’. Dog looks as gay as Obama does. I feel sorry for the dog!

Indeed the dog does need some training. Surprising we (the taxpayer) didn’t pay for a dog trainer.

Although it is a great advertisement for those who don’t train their dogs...how gay their dogs make them appear.

Now, I’ve never bought the line that this dog was a rescue. This dog was bred, raised, and trained for the president. Bo came is a nearly grown pup, which was a good cover against the continuous whining from the people who were demanding that the president had to adopt a dog.

I don’t know of anyone else who has had their rescues “appraised,” but my guess is they haven’t been valued at anywhere near that sum.

This dog’s status as a rescue should be considered a bit dubious. The story behind Bo is that he was kept by a family, who then returned him to the breeder. That’s a plausible story, but I don’t think we can call this dog a rescue.

He’s a breeder return, not a rescue.

He's acute dog, sort of, but as far as PWD's go he's pretty low on the totum pole. He was sent back to the breeder, probably because he was supposed to be show quality and he's definitely NOT that. His top line is horrible and he has a bad rear and front and his ear set isn't great. Here is a nice show PWD:
