One reason blacks might be missing is that, unlike the young college kids who have the time to hang out at these protests and don’t have dependents who need their income to put food on the table, working blacks may be more likely to work at jobs that don’t allow for large amounts of time off or must work as many hours as possible to make enough money to meet their obligations.
I also agree that blacks know that if it’s between them and the police, one of them might get killed, not just wind up in jail calling mommy for bail money.
As to other comments here regarding blacks - I find FR becoming more and more racist all the time. I am black and you’d have a hard time finding a more ardent supporter of Sarah Palin. Many of my male relatives have served in the military. We don’t dance at the churches I’ve attended, but if we did, so what? We do sing hymns, or is that not allowed?
How sad that some here hold such negative views, and on Christmas Day, too.

Love Larry Elder and excited he’s back in the game.
Quotable #1
The real reason to reject the Occupy movement is that
complaining about “inequality” without regard to how
the haves became the haves is a time-waster.
Quotable #2
The real question is not why so few blacks belong to
the Occupy movement. The real question is why so many
blacks still belong to the Democratic Party.
Thanks for the ping, ES.
KABC has shaken up the schedule again.. big time. I was afraid Larry had disappeared but he’s on vacay this week, and in an afternoon time slot next week. (He was 9a-Noon, moving to 3p-6p starting Jan. 3.)
New sched. here for in-towners and on-line listeners: http://kabc.com/Article.asp?id=2360211&spid=39963
