You are probably correct, it is a pretty sad and damning indictment against the entire news media in America when they refuse to TELL THE TRUTH, because it might be damaging to the Country as a Whole. When in Reality it is they that are doing even more Damage through their lies,misinformation, and selective blackouts about TRUTHFUL FACTS.
