Degenerate meth heads in the United States have good reason to celebrate the new year.

2012 promises to be a banner year in meth supply as the powerful Sinalo cartel headed by Forbes-listed billinoaire Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman is ramping up production in Guatemala as reported by The Associated Press: "Guzman is taking advantage of Guatemala's remote, isolated mountains and an alliance with a key Guatemalan trafficker to make the Central American nation a new international meth production base."

China is a principal supplier to the Sinaloa cartel of the precursor chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine, and within the last month Mexico has seized 534 tons of the stuff in three separate shipments from the communist nation which was destined for Guatemala as reported by The Associated Press.

Meanwhile, yesterday Mexico announced that it has arrested Ramiro Rendon Rivera who allegedly was a a key weapons smuggler for the Sinaloa cartel as reported by Reuters.

More than 200 people, including U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, have been murdered by guns supplied to the Mexican drug cartels by the United States government pursuant to a covert operation dubbed Fast and Furious, and recently forty high-powered assault weapons from the operation were found in the home of a reputed enforcer for the Sinaloa cartel as reported by Richard A. Serrano for the Los Angeles Times: "'These Fast and Furious guns were going to Sinaloans, and they are killing everyone down there,' said one knowledgeable U.S. government source, who asked for anonymity because of the ongoing investigations."

No word on whether Mexico intends on issuing international arrest warrants for any U.S. or Chinese government officials for their alleged roles in supplying deadly weapons and precursor chemicals to the Sinaloa cartel.

Supply create Demand (in the case of drug addiction)

Every addict - of the once-illegal drug alcohol or a now-illegal drug - started out as a nonaddicted user who nonetheless contributed to demand.
