Just sharing what I received. A statement from Steve Forbes:

Dear Jean,
There is no question that all Conservatives are united in their unwavering goal of defeating Barack Obama this November. The problem has been that Conservatives haven’t been united on who the best candidate to defeat Obama might be.
I’m afraid that the results from the Iowa Caucuses in less than two days will still show Conservatives fractured in their support, leaving a huge opening for Mitt Romney to become our party’s nominee.
While I’m not sure of the order in which they will finish on Tuesday night, based on what I’ve seen it is clear that Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, Rick Perry and Rick Santorum will be the top four finishers in the Caucuses.
And let me be blunt, facing Paul and/or Santorum would be a dream come true for the Romney high command.
We all know that Ron Paul can’t stop Mitt Romney. Romney’s campaign will focus on certain of Paul’s past positions and his strange willingness to allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons. All this makes a Paul victory absolutely impossible.
And while Rick Santorum is the latest in a long line of candidates to get a temporary surge, he has only begun to get vetted by the national media and his opponents. He will be constantly forced to defend his inexcusable addiction to earmarks including projects like the “Bridge to Nowhere”. And no one has yet to scratch the surface on his unqualified support and endorsement of the liberal, pro-abortion former Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter over true conservative Pat Toomey in the 2004 GOP primary for U.S. Senate. Santorum’s support for Specter enabled Specter to win a narrow victory, by a bare 20,000 votes. Specter then provided the critical, 60th vote for the passage of Obamacare and Obama’s budget busting, Economic Stimulus package, which is ballooning our national debt. Please ponder this: if Specter had been defeated we never would have had Obamacare.
Bottom line — There is only ONE consistent conservative that can go toe to toe with Romney and win the nomination — Rick Perry.
We all know that Rick is a consistent conservative and Washington outsider — a man of faith who isn’t afraid to stand up to the liberal establishment to protect our values. I’ve supported him all along because of his outstanding decade- long record and bold positions: creating more than a million new jobs in Texas; his plan to establish a 20% flat tax to do away with the IRS as we know it; and his plan to overhaul Washington by cutting Congress’ pay and sending them home. This is the type of leadership we desperately need to reverse the Obama deficit-spending fueled recession.
But as important as his record, beliefs and proposals is that Rick Perry has proven he can raise the money necessary to compete with Romney. He already has an impressive war chest. And he has the necessary national organization for a long campaign.
If we as Conservatives don’t want a repeat of 2008, and are serious about nominating a true Conservative as our nominee, then the time is upon us to unite behind the VIABLE Conservative, the CONSISTENT Conservative — Rick Perry.

Steve

If they were mandated to be vaccinated, how come they never were?

On your Perry hate planet where you reside, I guess they were all vaccinated anyway, despite the opt out and despite that none of it was ever implemented.

But in Texas in the real world where we live, without all that hatred that feeds all those lies, it’s pretty nice here.

Look in the mirror and repeat after me, tman...

“I am not fooling anyone. People on this website have found me out and they have my number”.

“I give myself away every time I post.”

“They are seeing right through me”.

“But since I keep on doing it, I should seek help”.

LOL

“I’d like to see the states be given the opportunity to opt out of the Medicaid program that we are looking at today,” Perry told Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren last week.

Gov. Rick Perry wants medicaid block-granted back to the states so programs can be locally administered.

Yes, I read the piece.

Now, was it Michael Goodwin or was it Rick Perry who signed the bill that provided taxpayer funding for braces and rides to the dentist?

Well, thanks be to God.

Now I know everything. I guess I’ll go read a book or something.

Thanks for sharing that letter.

Steve Forbes was my candidate when he ran for president. Now he’s lined up with Rick Perry and making the case for why job-creating Rick Perry is THE conservative we need to go forward out of Iowa.

Forbes is SPOT ON accurate.

Bump!

Show me the bill. Show me the legislation. You're the one bringing this up. YOU prove what you're talking about. So far, I've dismantled everything you've posted.

What state do you live in?

And that’s the problem. Rick Perry’s words do not match his actions.

And from the time he took office in December 2000 to 2011 Rick Perry signed funding bills that funded Planned Parenthood, funded braces and an unimaginable long list of Medicaid funding.

Should we listen to what he saws or should we review what he has done?

You will never get anywhere with trumandogsz. He’s an intentional dissembler, just using half-truths and non-truths to mislead and misdirect.

You don’t want to give me specifics because it would show you’ve come on this thread to be trouble. If you want to post links to legislation that supports your assertions do it. Repeating comments without giving proper context or state or federal programs or the vote totals — just generalities plucked from the net — is useless — but that is exactly what posters who come on forums to counter effective dissemination of information excel at.

No need to list the legislation as since the Legislative Session of 2001, Rick Perry only person on the planet who can sign funding bills in the State of Texas.

Therefore, when I read that “Texas taxpayers spent $184 million so kids on Medicaid could get free braces.” it can only mean that Rick Perry signed the bill that funded the braces.

And I live right here in Texas around two miles from the capitol building and six miles from the governor’s $10,000.00 a month rental home.

Please tell me where I am not telling the truth.

Did Rick Perry sign legislation to provide In State Tuition for Illegal Aliens?

Did Rick Perry draft an Executive order mandating that girls be vaccinated against an STD prior to their entering the 6th grade?

Did Rick Perry sign legislation that required the taxpayer fund steroid testing for high school students?

And up until 2011 did the tax payers of Texas fund Planned Parenthood and who was it that signed the bill that provided Texas funding of Planned Parenthood?

...And I live right here in Texas around two miles from the capitol building...

And we have a couple of good sayings in Texas:

The only good thing about Austin is its proximity to Texas.

And

The only good thing to come out of Austin is I-35.

Hey! What do you know?! You proved the adages correct!

Good for you. I'm sure the Perrys will be happy to move back into the Governor's mansion that was gutted by an arsonist and is currently being re-built. Since Perry is the Governor of Texas and works his tail off bring businesses to the state and fighting the Feds on practically everything and keeping Texas' economy flourishing and jobs being filled, and tort reform getting done and strangling regulations off our back, we're glad to see him have a decent place to live -- as we live in a state with 25,000,000 people and the 13th largest economy in the world.
