We’re all on the same side here.

Well, not in primary season. We’ll be on the same side after the convention.

If we can get there with all four tires intact. Whew.

Most of the other 49 governors are idiots, too. I know my governor is probably the biggest blowhard of the bunch. I just don’t feel any need to support my governor ‘cause he’s from my state. Who cares?

Perry supporters have been by far the most obnoxious.

It's hard to be outdone by people who have supported 2 or 3 different candidates over the past few months!

Trust me, you and your fellow group thinkers don't lack for being obnoxious...you have just spread it around among the (former) various candidates you have supported!

Where did FR get these sleeper commies?

You are one very disturbed individual if you believe 10+ year FReepers are "sleeper commies". That statement also says you have very little respect for the proprietors of this forum which is probably why you it has garnered the attention of the admin.

We don't like Rick Perry -- that doesn't make us commies. Good luck with understanding that.

California Republicans push Rick Perry to run

LATimes, June 30, 2011|By Seema Mehta

http://articles.latimes.com/2011/jun/30/news/la-pn-perry-california-20110630

A group of California lawmakers and former elected officials are calling on Texas Gov. Rick Perry to run for president after meeting with him Thursday in Sacramento.

“Now, more than ever, our nation needs serious, experienced and principled leadership to create jobs, control spending and rebuild the economy. We believe Gov. Perry that you embody these attributes, and we urge you to become a candidate for the Republican nomination for the office of president of the United States,” the group’s letter reads.

A blue state trying to go back RED. Red CA lawmakers helping Perry in Iowa. That’s what this thread is about.

I'm not impressed by 'California Republicans'; I know many.

I'm not impressed by 'Republicans' in general.

Darrel Issa is one California Republican for whom I once had respect...that was up until he endorsed Mitt Romney.

I was active in the Republican Party of California for over 30 years. That ended in 2007 when I registered as an Independent.

'Republican' ain't what it used to be.

Perry and you Krishnas make me sick. You've done nothing but attack everyone in front of you. From Gingrich to Bachmann to Cain to Santorum.

That is what they call campaigning for an office. You do not praise those you are running AGAINST.

And you wonder why Perry can't gain any traction.

He is

A key California foe of climate rules urges Perry to run for president
-—snip to this—
Speaking in advance of Perry’s visit last week in Sacramento with California Republicans urging him to seek the White House, Logue told the Chronicle that GOP frontrunner and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney’s “commitment to global warming” – apparently meaning his refusal to disavow his acceptance of mainstream climate science and past support for cutting greenhouse gases – “opens the door for a pro-jobs candidate” such as Perry.

http://www.texasclimatenews.org/wp/?p=2081

Now WHY do CA lawmakers want Perry, who is leading the fight against the Global Warming Fraud, as POTUS?

Probably found 'em in the same place that Newt's fans found "that he and Callista were the sweetest, most gracious, humble, and down-to-earth folks I've met".

Everyone else "finds" the opposite when they encounter the same people. Funny, isn't it?

Because THE ADMINISTRATION AND ITS PET MEDIA HAS DONE EVERYTHING TO ASSURE ZERO WON’T HAVE TO RUN AGAINST HIM!

Well done, more truth in that statement than I have seen for awhile.

Lawmaker who endorsed Romney now behind draft-Perry movement

The Daily Caller ^ | July 1, 2011 | Alex Pappas
Posted on Sat Jul 02 2011 15:25:32 GMT-0500 (Central Daylight Time) by Cincinatus’ Wife

A California lawmaker who endorsed Mitt Romney for president has now signed a letter asking Texas Gov. Rick Perry to get in the 2012 race.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Assemblyman Paul Cook, a Yucaipa Republican, joined more than 20 people in signing the letter. The paper added that “more potential Romney defectors may sign the letter in coming days, according to a GOP source familiar with the meeting.” (GOP candidates’ fundraising starts slowly)

Calling others a$$hole, liar, commie and telling others they "hate Texas females and want them to die of cancer" is the norm for the pro-Perry crowd. I don't mind, as far as I am concerned they can say whatever the mods allow. I just won't allow them to say they are the polite bunch on FR because that is a lie.

“He’s a meany!
He’s heartless!
He’s an idiot!”

Really, he’s only one of the three. He’s an idiot. You’re right on that point. How can anybody come to a different conclusion after watching his debate performances?”

Well, I came to a different conclusion, and it happens to be the correct one. He was in a lot of pain from back surgery during the early debates. He healed, he improved greatly. Anyone who thinks Perry is an idiot stopped watching after those first couple of debates.

You are correct. I have found the Perry supporters to have been the most thoughtful and calm.

It’s the supporters of candidates who did not run or dropped out who are the most venomous.

“I have found Perry supporters to be some of the politest, kindest most informed and loyal posters on FR.”

I agree with you. I lurked here for three years and quite frankly had no real intention of coming out of lurkdom. I did it because I have never seen such vitriol hurled by conservatives at a conservative candidate. The level of hatred for Perry is unreal; you’d think he was a baby-killing leftwinger. Sure, I’ve seen some Perry supporters get heated in response to the hatred, but they (we) are human. The Perry people on FR are really good folks.
