Now that the Christmas/Hanukkah/New Years season has ended, another new season begins, one that I call SILLY.
WELCOME to the SILLY SEASON called United States of America 2012 Presidential elections politics.
On this day of the Iowa GOP Republican Caucus, when those who are part of this caucus voting effort, the ball gets rolling to get a candidate who can not only survive the grueling campaign for the White House, but all the attacks coming from other GOP Republican candidates in the weeks and months ahead.
Best wishes to the remaining candidates in the GOP Republican Presidential 2012 field. Best wishes to those who will be deciding who is the best of the best tonight all over Iowa.
Silly? I thought the Democratic primaries were silly too. I don’t remember any articles on such things. Everyone says that the Republicans campaign has been brutal, but they have not seen anything compared to the Democratic one 4 years ago. Now that was brutal. It just makes me so mad that they are making a big deal about this.
What an odd choice of words.
As I recall, the Dems squabbling almost made Joe Biden look like the only adult in the room. So what does that say about the process?
Well with some of the most recent attacks on the GOP canidiates, it sure does remind me of 4 years ago.
Not odd, just coming back from the holiday break.
Must all be over my head. Never mind.
There was a time, which I miss of a brief space of a few weeks after the new year starting in the January of the Presidential elections when folks were given time to get back to their daily activities to get ready to decide on a Presidential canidiate.
And so does every NY Times political writer when it comes to the GOP Primary cycle. What is really silly is the Rat Primary this year and the fact that they are not having one. Didn't anyone one on that side of the aisle take note to the absolute disaster they are going to try and reelect unchallenged? Now that is silly.
Look for the Dems right now to keep a very low profile, until there is a front runner and after that, look for an all-out war in time leading up to the general elections in November.
Yummy spam. Now I am hungry
I believe the pinnacle of that experience was Howard Dean screaming ....these guys are debating over issues and get called silly...
