Dick Morris, for what it’s worth, said on Hannity’s show today and is saying on O’Reilly that Gingrich is the true competition against Romney. He thinks Romney was the big winner last night because now Newt has to deal with Santorum before he can get at Romney. Romney continues to benefit from that split. There are 8 debates in January, and Newt needs those to go straight to the people and win it himself. I am not in favor of Newt attacking Santorum. Let him speak through his skills of debate and oration.
I have confidence that the conservatives will see through Romney’s split the conservative strategy. Turnabout is fair play - we need to keep Huntsman around to take from Romney. The battle is just beginning.

I disagree with Morris. Romney backers must be beginning to wonder if he will EVER break 25%. Romney has had virtually no negative, sustained assault or attack on the air, land or sea, YET! Hotair said yesterday that the Gingrich Super PAC is going after him, FINALLY. If the rest are smart they will spend some money to do the same and tag team both the ESTABLISHMENT and their liberal candidate.
I believe it’s a mistake to go after each other until they take some wind out of Romney’s sails.
I am afraid the cry is going to be heard for Perry to get back out, so the two leaders can sustain their campaign and corner the big money to take Romney out.
