You cant win a ballgame being on defense all the time, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin tonight said in a two-segment interview on Sean Hannitys TV show from her home in Wasilla, Alaska. Gov. Palins quote was in reference to Newt Gingrichs counter-attacks against Mitt Romney who he today accused of lying in political ads. Her words were also applicable to whichever candidate becomes the GOP nominee and goes on to fight the Obama machine.
Gov. Palin said the Iowa Caucus was such an exciting night. It felt like it was as it should be. She praised Santorums performance saying, Iowa was a good place for Santorum to rise to the top. Iowa is a microcosm of America. It was a very strong showing for Santorum and what he would do for the working class. It leaves Americans optimistic about the field.
She agreed with Hannity that the GOP nominee needs to be prepared for the attacks that are surely coming now that he has become a top tier candidate. You know its coming. My concern is going on to face the Obama machine and his thuggery. McCain and I were the only ones to have face it. McCain (by his endorsement of Romney) thinks that Romney is best prepared.

Governor Palin.
No offense intended. Supported you even before McLame picked you as his running mate.
But honestly. Can’t win if you fold.
She also made the point rather strongly that she had wanted to go after obama and his associations much harder.
Did you notice the taut look on her face when she was talking about mccain’s endorsement of romney? And when she tried to smile, it was almost a grimace.
She defended Newt. Said he had every right to go back at romney with the truth after romney’s untruthful attacks on him. Said romney had lied about him and that you have to fight back.
That does seem to be one of the topics that really gets under Palin’s skin... the way the McCain campaign was so exasperatingly timid, if not deferential, towards Obama, and the unwillingness to even bring up his highly disturbing associations.
Watching her, especially tonight, I got the distinct impression that she has not much use for mccain. I don’t think she would ever say it in public, but I would love to hear some of her conversations with Todd.
I noticed a couple of days ago she didn't look like she used to. I thought tired looking.
Stop fooling yourself, Palin! She used herself as an example of effecting change without a title, but NOTHING HAS CHANGED! Obamacare passed, and big government continue to grow.
Ping for later viewing.
Palin endorsed, and campaigned for, McCain. McCain endorsed, and will probably campaign for, Romney. It's one big circle.
I’d like to see you run against what was thrown at Sarah.
I did also but thought I was imagining things but she did look a bit gaunt.
Hope her health is holding up.
