Liberal Web Site Lies: Claims Santorum's Wife Had Abortion

The liberal, pro-abortion web site Jezebel, which recently named as its woman of the year an abortion practitioner who injured a woman in a botched abortion, is now making false claims that Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum's wife had an abortion.

Don’t even go there (being against birth control) in the context of a presidential campaign. This is not the time or place for such nonsense. If santorum or any candidate brings it up they will be laughed off the stage.

Let me clarify so I don’t derail the thread. Of course birth control is personally important to catholics. no disrespect intended. What I mean is we can’t fall into liberal traps and have our candidate get sidetracked with these sidebars that have no relevance on the public debate.

You have misunderstood the purpose of my post.

Santorum’s position had been mischaracterized.
I was making a clarification.
I was not attempting to claim this should be a part of the campaign.

Whether you like it or not - the enemy is going to “go there” because there are 2 catholics in this race.
We have FReepers spouting this nonsense too.

Santorum us entitled to his personal beliefs - just as any american is as well.

The ignorance regarding the death of his son, and his catholicism is astounding.

Under Catholic teaching around medical ethics, a woman is not required to deny treatment that might indirectly effect the child.

For example. A pregnant woman with cancer may get chemotherapy. An expectant mother with a life threatening infection may take antibiotics.

What is an abject evil is to terminate the pregnancy directly.

The lavender mafia has had it in for Santorum since he spoke out about the slippery slope in the wake of the Lawrence v. Texas decision.

There IS a homosexual agenda. California now REQUIRES all California public school screwdents down to Kindergarten to learn about gay history. It’s a litmus test that excludes history books, such as Bill Bennett’s, because they do not include passages devoted to the special contributions of extrasexular Americans.

And it is not “controversial” to draw analogies between homosexuality and bestiality, the US military permits bestiality ALONG WITH homosexuality now, both restrictions were recently lifted. And look at the angry gaystapo agents against polygamy (for now). They say that is not a real marriage. In who’s eyes?

Good job but I am afraid your wisdom fell on ears with nothing but space between them.

unbelievable isn’t it?

And because people only listen to soundbites anymore -without bothering to get “the rest of the story”...they’ll actually believe crap like this.

Meanwhile we have a guy running the country who thinks it’s ok to stab babies in the neck with scissors - and leave them to die alone in a closet if they survive the abortion.

you are very kind. I’m not sure if I’m a very “good” catholic...the teachings can be very difficult to live up to, but they are what they are.

No one goes after a democrat catholic because they seem to understand they don’t “really” believe in all that stuff.

So what really is at the heart of this, is that Rick’s sincerity really bothers them.

The lefties prefer phoniness over sincerity.

I hope Santorum turns it on the Libs. Who takes money from NARAL? The Democrats. What does NARAL represent? The abortion industry, the people who actually do the dirty deeds with their own bloody hands. And what about Planned Parenthood? The Dems are not too prissy to take their bloody money after first giving them OUR money so that PP can give the Dems a kick-back with OUR tax money. If they call Santorum an extremist, he should come back with the fact that their have been 50 million abortions in this country. Now THAT is extreme! And who has been in the forefront of “a woman’s right to choose”? The Democrats, of course. Abortion has been part of the basic belief system of the Democrat party. I can still hear Kennedy bellowing at the top of his lungs, “I will support a woman’s right to chose!”

I share your sentiments, and think it would be great if Santorum chose to take it to the child killers, but it’s not something he can get caught up in if he wants to get the nomination. I guess it comes down to priorities and how to actually accomplish something substantial. I’m with him either way.
