Vanity: National Agricultural Classification Survey - WTF?!
1/10/12 | dagogo redux

Well, here’s the totalitarian state, right before my eyes!

Today in the mail came a largish envelop for me from The “National Agricultural Statistics Service”, postage and fees paid by USDA Permit No. G-38.

A prominant blocked off area on the envelop front stated in large bold letters, “YOUR RESPONSE IS REQUIRED BY LAW.”

Also on the envelop and several places inside I find Obama-style logos for the USDA, and one with “AGRICULTURE COUNTS” around the outside, and at the base of the rolling landscape “NASS,” which stands for National Agricultural Statistics Service.

That’s right: now we have a National Agricultural Classification Survey, aka U.S. Census of Agriculture Report, aka NACS_01 (10/20/11) Project 633.

It’s a 4 page census form wanting to know all manner of info about myself and my 1.35 acres, including exquisit details about Acres Operated, Cropland, Grain Storage, Livestock, Poultry, Aquaculture, and Bees, as well as business details such as Production Contracts, Labor, Sales, Federal Farm Program Payments and Expenses. We have some vegetable and flower gardens and a few fruit trees - all for our own enjoyment and consumption. 1.35 acres.

We then have a full page chock full of nosey little questions about the Internet Access of “The Operation,” and about the personal info of The Operator(s), any Change of Operator, Possible Duplication or Other Names of the operator or operations.

An accompanying letter with the Obama logos of two types at the top has the following instructions:

“If you do not have any agricultural activity, or believe that you have received this in error, please indicate that on the form and return it so we can update our records.”

This is followed - in HUGE, BOLD font inside a bold, three-edged window - by the heart of the matter:

“The National Agricultural Classification Survey (NACS) is required by law. If you do not reply, you may be personally visited or you may receive a telephone call.”

WTF?

I haven’t looked at the gardening thread yet - is this stuff in there? I’ll ping you to another thread on this momentarily.

Government statistical information important to all big, global agriculture. They tried to virtually outlaw small farms (S. 510), but the Tester Amendment stopped them...for now.

“If you do not reply, you may be personally visited or you may receive a telephone call.”

Oooh! The dreaded phone call. You are required by law to answer your phone and/or the front door. Not!!

Personally given the times we live in and the new FEMA camps with all the vacancies still available I would make a notation that there are no agricultural activities going on at the site and you must have received the survey in error and just send it back.

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

If the envelope wasn’t sent certified mail requiring you to sign for it, you never received it.

Toss it in the shredder or woodstove. At least in the woodstove you will get some heat for your trouble, and burning worthless government documents is carbon neutral, so it is kinda green if you think about it that way.

You have to prohibit these federal agencies from having enforcement authority on their regulations.

That is the only thing that will stop it.

When a globalist is given a position in the federal bureaucracy they begin to implement international law in their regulations. With their own police authority the become a rogue government and they can do anything they wish to do.

So you get these socialist dictator rulings from the executive branch that mirror all the edicts coming down from the G20, and the nefarious UN subsidiaries.

Because we have no penalties as citizens we can enforce on them when they violate the Constitution, we are powerless.

Just because the survey is required by law, it does not mean that you are required to answer. It does mean that they have to conduct the survey and ask you the questions.

If they have their own police force, like NOAA and the Department of Education, they’ll enforce it themselves. That corruption of the US Constitution effectively creates a rogue government that is a law unto itself.

There’s no protection if they come after you.

Citizens must demand penalties on these rogue agencies and individual bureaucrats for violating the Constitution and then ensure that they are enforced.

If you’re a farmer you’ve seen these before and it’s no big deal. If you aren’t, answer “no” to the first four questions and send it back.

There is a section to fill out if you are no longer farming and they won’t send it to you anymore.

The USDA Ag Statistics branch keeps track of deaths of livestock by predators among many, many other things.

If later down the line a cougar or a wolf eats your dog, you can join with livestock producers against the folks who would rather see wolves than cattle on the prairie and prefer to buy “sustainable” bamboo fiber (aka nylon - an extruded, chemically processed product) rather than wool.

Thanks for the ping. This stuff is garbage. I don’t know whether the USDA computer burped and spit out a bunch of new addresses, or if they are trolling for info. Either way, the surveys can be trashed. I do it every year and we have a farm.

Did you fill out the census forms? Talk about an invasion of privacy.

No I did not, and will not. We are not “Farming” or running a “Farming Operation” on our 1.35 acres, and it is none of the Federal government’s business if we were.

If we build a dog house or a bird feeder on our property, do we need to justify that we are not a “Construction Operation” that the Feds need to be aware of? If I sit outside and read a book on my property, do I need to fill out a census form about a possible “Proof Reading Operation” that the Feds need to be aware of?

I draw the line here: my first, but probably not my last act of civil disobedience. So it begins, at least for me.

I didn’t make it clear—I was referring to filling out the human population census back in 2009 or so. We didn’t fill out the mailed form and were visited by some serf with a scanner and GPS unit. There is no privacy, there is no free speech, there is no escape as far as I can see.

first ‘forwarding service requested’ is only good for first class mail.
second google pobox 5115 jeffersonville IN leads to an online mailing service.
third google National Agriculture——etc has an address in washington d.c. their website also states only businesses of 1,000 dollars or more and that their agricultural survey will be conducted in the ‘latter part of 2012’
my suggestion is stuff the business reply mail envelope with local farmers market ads and mail back-—free to you, cost to them.
