The One Simple Reason Newt Gingrich Will Not Win The General Election: Women

Posted by RealQuiet (Diary) December 7th

Newt Gingrich has conducted a brilliant campaign strategy since he stumbled back in late spring regarding Paul Ryan’s Path to Prosperity Plan. He has been masterful in debates and shown an eagerness to take on and fight the media elite. He has owned up to his personal and political mistakes and stated candidly what his positions are, though many may disagree with them but still live with them.

He hasn’t shown the brash ego and self-centeredness that reared its ugly head so many times when he was the Speaker of the House. He certainly seems to be a changed man.

BUT…..

Though Gingrich has engaged in his own political cronyism and playing both sides of the fence on political issues like Mitt Romney has in the past (which the Republican voter seems to be willing to overlook), there is one thing that will stop him from winning the general election:

A considerable majority of American women will not vote for him because of his past marital actions of betrayal

Most American women whether they be Democrat, independent, or Republican will not vote for a man who cheated on his previous wife(s). Among women, men like this cannot and will not be trusted. People like to point out that Ronald Reagan had two wives. The key thing is Ronald Reagan never cheated on Jane Wyman, his first wife. She left him because there was nothing left in common between them as she claimed. That is a very big difference.

It is what it is-

They can sweat Newt, or Sarah as they see fit. At some point, the chickens come home to roost.

No, you’re an old salt who thinks Santorum can win the nomination (not a chance in a thousand), if he won could defeat the low life in the white house (a chance in three), and if he won that could make a effin difference in our gov’t (a chance in 50).
A little sick of long-time Freepers thinking brains were handed out when they joined. You prove the opposite.

“Of those standing, only Santorum is electable...”

Santorum is a dweeb. Obama would put him in a headlock and give him a noogie.

Santorum is the only one standing whom Obama could debate without TOTUS.

I’ll probably get flamed for this but it seems that many women vote with their hearts rather than their minds. That’s why as a group they’re more open to things like homosexual men, social welfare, temprance, etc.

Actually some of us keep our brains and don’t act like lemmings over a cliff or the proverbial three monkeys. We discern the internal polling and make our conclusions.

Well then, if your theory is correct (I don’t subscribe to it), then let’s alert women to the various stories about gay hook-ups via Rev. Wright’s “church” for those bi-sexual and homosexual men who attended, not to mention the murders (allegedly) of Donald Young, Larry Bland,Nate Spencer PRIOR to Obamao’s S-election.

Research Man’s Country in Chicago and Larry Sinclair.

I think women would rather have a skirt chaser for President than a HOMOsexual pResident.

They voted for Bill Clinton, in droves.”

Yes, but I suspect women aren’t fantasizing about Newt.

I didn’t realize that Women in this country want their Children and Grandchildren mired in Debt and living a Third World lifestyle.

I guess we have a “priority” problem, not a man hating problem.

I prefer Newt over Romney but I'd rather win with Mitt than go down with Newt. The jug-eared, long-legged mack daddy must be removed!

I am a woman--conservative, white, Protestant, and moral. If Newt is the nominee, I will encourage everyone to vote for him, will vote for him myself.

This ain't bean bag, and intelligent women will realize they must vote for the Republican candidate, regardless, to save the country.

I prefer Santorum of those left, but want it to play out a little bit.

I want some investigations of the One and some questions raised. I want every citizen of good sense to laugh at, mock, and sneer at the media. They can stomach denouncements like Newt's,but their thin skins would be punctured by ridicule, laughter, and the abject failure of every one of their destructive tactics toward conservatives.

Now someone is raising the 30 year old affair of Mrs. Santorum before she even married Rick. The media are worse than despicable.

Back to the subject of Newt's 2d ex--she has a short memory. It takes two to tango, and she was tangoing with Newt while he was still with wife #1, though the daughters have said Newt and their mother had already agreed to divorce. They were, however, still married. She has no standing before this court--the court of my opinion.

I will even vote for Mitt, but pray I do not have to. He simply does not understand that he cannot cross the aisle and work with what is leading Dems today. He is good at business, but hasn't a clue what they are trying to do; he keeps saying Obama is in over his head. Like the rest of the establishment, he cannot believe a President would intentionally harm the country and tear it down.

Do us all a favor and quit predicting doom--that is the media and the Dems job, and they have been exposed!

The female vote anti-Gingrich wouldn’t be nearly as evident in the R primaries as it would be in the general.
A lot has changed since Clinton got elected twice in the 90s.
Everyone knew going in that Clinton was an alley-cat, and he appealed to the “let the games begin!” type of young women who like the unreliable bad-boy type. Clinton remained married to his wife, though, while obviously getting a lot on the side throughout his Presidency, and obviously long before. That he slithered through the first time, with his wife at his side, only made him look “human, all-too-human, with both he and his wife willingly posing in front of us as Two People in Pain But Soldiering On.
By the time Monica Lewinsky came around Clinton had been re-elected, so there was no revoking his Presidency at that point. The American voter acted as enablers the first time,
he saw what he could get away with, so he continued doing it all through his Presidency.
Democrats can get away with this stuff because It’s All For A Good Cause-—to their constituencies, they think the Dems are doing bold, brave, good work for the Agenda of social progressivism, and , hell that creates so much stress that you’ve just gotta let them indulge once in a while.
ALSO, you can always count on Clinton and his fellow Dems
NEVER to let go of the abortion-on-demand issue, which they
KNOW will always score big points with their female supporters.
Gingrich is pro-life and I do believe the last 20 years have seen an increase in the majority of American voters turning towards the pro-life position.
Should Gingrich be the nominee I think he will do far better with women voters than this literal-minded and unimaginative article suggests. If it looks like that’s not happening , maybe an alert should go out to get MORE MEN TO VOTE.

Ann Coulter famously said that giving Women the Vote insured the success of the Democrat Party.

Without Women Voters, there would be no Democrat Party

Women, who tend to vote more liberal than men, overlooked Bubba’s infidelities, and even his rape. I don’t think they would extend the same to conservative Newt.

The very fact you think Santorum is ready for the Presidency defines you and your buddies. Naive. Most people aren’t on board with your man because they know he isn’t seasoned. I have no problem with him but he’s not ready to deal with what’s going on. We’re on the brink of a civil/race war. He’s our Jimmy Carter. Not happening.
