Starbucks Targeted For Another Anti Firearms Rights Boycott

Starbucks was targeted by a well known anti gun rights group recently because they took “No position” on firearms in their stores. They couldn’t coerce Starbucks into banning guns in Starbucks for everyone except criminals who don't care about "No guns" policies. Again, Starbucks is the target of a boycott beginning on Valentine’s Day by The National Gun Victims Action Council. Starbucks has the right to run their business as they see fit.

They call themselves “A force for sane gun laws.” They cite England’s gun laws as a model to follow. But, English criminals are stealing guns, converting starter pistols to shooters, and are making their own guns too. They call themselves an “economic force” that will economically force anti gun rights laws by using the buying power of “14 million” gun victims, gun assault survivors, supporters, and religious groups against businesses that allow guns in their businesses or on their property.

They say that their economic leverage can’t be overcome because they outnumber “NRA Extremists” by 50 to 1. Currently the NRA has 4,300,000 dues paying members. That multiplied by 50 would be 215,000,000 who sympathize with this group. They apparently didn’t do the math. That’s quite a stretch. Strangely enough, they claim that, “ Sane gun laws will simultaneously protect the Second Amendment right of the legal gun owner and the non-gun owner’s right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as written in the Declaration of Independence.” Not knowing exactly how that would work, many are struggling to understand the logic of that statement. Just like every anti gun rights group, these people believe that they can run our lives and protect our families and children better than we can.

This latest group complains that a tiny, dangerous minority...

Nitwits. How do they really expect Starbucks to enforce such a policy even if they wanted to? There’s no force of law. All they could do is ask people to leave if they are found to be armed, which, in almost all cases, they would never know.

They fail to see the problem with that statement.

Interesting.

I just walk in, order my coffee & biscotti, pay for them, retrieve my coffee from the barista, and leave.

No theatrics. They probably don’t even know I’m armed.

The phrases:All mean the same thing in anti-gun speak - total prohibition for everyone except government bureaucrats. Oddly enough anti-gunners don't see problem with this because to them it is perfectly reasonable to prohibit gun ownership for everyone except the police ant the military.

Since Starbucks didn’t cave to the Anti-Gun Wackos I think it is about time for me to sample their products.
