I wonder about prayer, perhaps somebody could help me. I believe in it. However, I often notice that seems almost like the devil overhears our prayers. I sometimes feel myself immersed in spiritual shadow when I pray, but less so when I pray with somebody.
Why is this?
I sometimes feel it at church even. I am starting to fear praying, because it alerts the devil to our desires.

Not from your same religion but when you pray, you draw Gd into it. Gd is all powerful and will win out. Don’t be afraid to pray for a sick little one.

Then just pray that God’s will, not yours, be done.

You need not fear prayer, for the God to whom you pray is the victor over the devil. When you sense the devil near as you pray to the Lord in Jesus' name, know this: God is your defender and vindicator, and nobody can snatch you out of His hand. Nothing can separate you from the love of God.
When you pray to God in Jesus' name, all the armies of hell cringe in fear. They may rage and threaten, but they cannot overpower you. For God is with you! Who then can stand against a child of God who prays?
