Sharon Angle Endorses Santorum
National Review Online ^ | 02-01-2012 | Robert Costa

Sharron Angle, a Nevada Republican and tea-party favorite, will endorse Rick Santorum. She issued the following statement to National Review Online:

Rick Santorum and I have known each other for years. He is a strong fiscal and social conservative who stands on principles above politics. He has never wavered in his support for family values understanding the impact that strong families have on a prosperous economy. His continuous opposition to Amnesty, Obamacare, the bail-outs, and cap and trade are a perfect fit with our main street Tea Party movement.

Angle was the Nevada GOP’s nominee for U.S. Senate in 2010.

Another Endorsement from a 2010 Tea Party Favorite. Not sure how much this one will play out.

I’m not sure about Nevada but it looks like Santorum is pretty strong in the midwest and has some momentum building for colorado.

Waste of an endorsement because Santorum could not beat King Obama. No Way. Romney would be trashed beyond belief by King Obama. Both Santorum and Romney is trashing Newt. Stupid because we will have a total dictatorship by our current communists black Muslim King Obama. Good work!

I’m watching Lindsey Graham, who led the coup against Newt, on Greta being very supportive of Newt. Best defense of Newt on his leadership I’ve heard yet.

Most here hate LG so how is this being received?

She can move her endorsement in a couple of months

How is Rick Santorum being a conservative, by not supporting and by not endorsing Pat Toomey’s first run for Pennsylvania U.S. Senate?

Are you serious? Apparently you and I watched different interviews. Graham said that Newt was irregular and erratic, and he said he believes Newt is a DANGER to himself and others. When Greta called him on it, he said, “Oh, well, I believe that about Obama, too.” That was a sidewinding way to link Newt with Obama and paint them as similar. Graham’s sly little digs were well-placed, because after all, Newt did win big in SC and he has to be mindful of that. But in his feminine way, Lindsay got across his message that Newt isn’t fit to be president.

Yes. Santorum is putting out negative ads in Colorado -- against Gingrich.

Apparently, he's learned well from his mentor, Romney.

Maybe he feels he may have to work with Newt as President soon so he is trying to send a positive signal to Newt in advance. LOL!

The good thing about Santorium (other than the fact he is conservative...not that it matters around Free Republic) is that Obama would have so little to trash Santorium about.

Sharron foolishly fumbled away the 2010 election that she should have won easily. She is no longer a Tea Party favorite, she is Harry Reid’s dream.

Simple...The republicans needed Arlen Spector on the Judicial Committee to get Bush’s picks in. Toomey would have not been assigned to any committees of importance.

If the Las Vegas unions had not stolen the election, Sharon would be in the Senate and Harry Reid would be sitting on his front porch writing rhymes and jingles for his favorite earmark: American taxpayer-funded Cowboy Poetry Festival in his hometown of Searchlight, Nevada.

I wrote the only biography of Harry Reid and it is chock full of Harry Reid’s corruption. Sharron Angle knew about it, and did nothing with it. I am sick to my ear lobes with Republicans and Tea Partyers who are not willing to fight the down and dirty even when they are handed 300 pages of opposition research.

Santorum is cut from the same cloth as Angle, Mr. Rogers in a sweater. Santorum is willing to take on Newt but say nothing about Romney, pretty sad.

You may not like Santorum as he's not your candidate....fine. That's a separate issue for another thread.

But, in regards to Sharon Angle, she didn't fumble away anything. The results from that individual election contained major irregularities which have never been explained. And I'll remind you that Angle was 4 points ahead in almost all the polls going into that election, an election in which she was opposed by Democrats and the same establishment Republicans many here (and elsewhere) are currently rallying against.
