Trump Endorsing Newt Gingrich Tomorrow
Reaganite Republican ^ | February 02, 2012 | Reaganite Republican

Want to prevent The Donald from running a 3rd-party bid?

Support Newt Gingrich, and he won't feel the need...

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that Donald Trump will endorse Newt for president in Las Vegas tomorrow. Trump had posted on Twitter that he would be making a 'major announcement' on Thursday at the Trump International Tower and Hotel... so there you go.

While we all don't want him mounting a ruinous indy bid for the White House, surely Trump also knows that a replay of 1992 would just hand the election to Obama. Say what you want about the bombast or lack of scruples, but I can't name one thing Donald Trump has said politically over the last year that I would seriously disagree with him on. While toying with a candidacy, Trump also brought some things to the debate in the areas of trade and foreign policy that I felt needed to be discussed, yet weren't by the more conventional candidates to that point.

Donald Trump only had nice things to say about Gingrich last weekend on Face the Nation: 'He's got great ideas. He's very smart, he's very tough and he is a great debater.' He also lamented what he sees as a 'nasty race': 'the level of hatred is unbelievable... it's very possible they're hurting themselves'.

It might sound like he's criticizing all there, but recall who started it.  Then consider that Newt's offered a truce to Romney twice now in debates... only to be ignored: they both know -just like most everybody else- that b.s. attack ads are all one-trick-pony Mitt has got.

The Trump endorsement would come just two days before Nevadans vote in the GOP caucuses, but the state is at best a long shot for Newt, with a heavy LDS population and Gingrich organization light-on-the-ground there. But if your primary goal is replacing the Obammunist regime with a Reaganite Republican administration, Trump's support is encouraging over the medium-long term: can't hurt Newt nationally, and if it keeps DT from running independent that's half the battle right there...  it's long been a worrying  concern, and we need more presidential candidates on the Right this year like we need a hole in our head.
Endorses Newt Gingrich for President

Newt was workin' it in Reno yesterday, and is coincidentally planning to be in down in Vegas on Thursday himself.  Gingrich has scheduled a dinner meeting with his top backer Las Vegas Sands CEO Sheldon Adelson that evening, while Trump's announcement is scheduled for  a lunchtime press conference.

Thanks and don't forget to bring yer wallet, Mr Trump

Expect Drudge to mention the birth certificate issue or anything he can to label Trump a “fringe” supporting another “fringe”.

I try not to look at Drudge anymore, but I took a peek just out of curiosity (please forgive me) yesterday, and the scumbag is still playing the same games!

Mind you, I was a birther before it was cool, though I guarantee Drudge will pull something nasty. Fox News “Fox and Friends” said that Drudge has a headline suggesting Romney will be endorsed by Newt. I think Drudge is really starting to lose it. Fox also had an obnoxious video of Santorum, where Santorum praises Trump’s China stance, and then suggests that only he agrees with it and, therefore, “Trump should be endorsing me, NOT Newt Gingrich!” The Bottom Feeder has mastered the art of Bottom Feeding.

And what does Drudge's banner headline say at this moment?

DONALD DOUBLES DOWN: ON MITT?

What a misleading POS Matt has turned out to be.

Click on the link and it says:

Sources: Trump to endorse Newt

Drudge is a POS?

I smell the scorching of the Earth — for a thrice-married, Pelosi-loving RINO

Unfortunately, this fits as another perfect ploy toward running as the Dems’ secret-weapon spoiler to get Obama re-elected.

(That’s exactly what Axelrod did to get his mini-Obama Deval Patrick re-elected as guv in MA.)

In a sane world, Arthur Laffer’s endorsement of Newt’s economic plan would carry him to victory. Or Thomas Sowell’s endorsement.

But we don’t live in that world, and I’m not so sure Donald Trump’s endorsement will be value-less. I’m not saying Trump’s endorsement of Newt is huge, it’s not, but it should be helpful in some not insignificant way. Donald Trump has a degree of charisma, and in the bizarro-world that most “independents” and apoliticals (who vote) live, maybe it boosts Newt beyond what we could fathom.

“The Donald” has become much more well-known and well-liked, especially in the younger demographic, through his TV show. The young like him for some of the same reasons they like Ron Paul. Unlike Sarah Palin’s endorsement, as welcome as it would be, Donald Trump’s endorsement of Newt could influence voters Newt doesn’t already have, IMHO.

I’m for Newt, have been since Herman Cain dropped out, and I welcome Donald Trump’s endorsement.

I don’t know about Drudge, but this morning’s Fox & Friends show speculated that Trump was actually going to endorse Mitt since Mitt has that same time slot set aside.

I turned off the set as this kind of head fakery coming from the msm is beneath contempt.

It will be the most amazing, first class, incredible endorsement. Better than any endorsement ever seen. The quality of the endorsement will be fabulous and fantastic....

I have not visited Drudge even once for 8 days now. I deleted my bookmarks, cache, and cookies. I will not go back. It is nothing but a Romneybot site.

Mitt is BUYING this election. His PACS doing the attacking on Newt or Rick and he can put up his hands and say "I have no control over that".

Really?

I'm pretty sure The Donald will have something to say, and DO to fight that negativity.
Trump may be the one endorsement that gets Newt back on track. Trump will have appeal to the youngsters who really look at money-bags Mitt and not like what they see.

Isn't that what we all are doing?

Newt already has Sheldon Adelson for the cash, I think that if he could get Steve Wynn to endorse him that would be huge. He may not have Trump's celebrity but he is a professional salesman and speaker.

I saw him talking to a Frank Lunz crowd and by the end almost 100% wanted him to run for President.

That would be a gigantic coup for Romney and disaster for Newt

Pelosi-loving Rino?

What about that Abortion-loving, Gun Control-loving, Socialized Healthcare-loving, Massachusetts Liberal Republican?

Yes Drudge is that, for devoting himself to getting Romney elected.

“Reality TV star, Donald Trump, who endorsed and contributed money to Harry Reid and Charlie Rangel will travel today to Nevada to endorse a Republican candidate?

Please explain to us why anyone would care.

Please explain to Republican voters in Nevada why they should consider the opinion of a billionaire from New York who endorsed the arch enemy of all Republicans in Nevada, and really the enemy of all Republicans in the US.

Hopefully, media reports of this event will include this delicious irony.”
