The Secret Service protection unit sure as hell knew when they had to hustle airline stews up the back staircase to insure that the out of town hotel suites were fully stocked for Jack. They most certainly knew when they had to run interference for Jack when he had "fiddle" & "faddle" in the White House pool for a nude swim when Jackie walked in the front door. What did the US expect, his father (the bootlegger) bought him the job and made it happen with obvious down state Illinois voter fraud. He probably bought off Nixon too as he conceded rather then contest the obvious fraud. He was a mediocre President, who sold out the Cuban refugees and guaranteed the Castro brothers a permanent dictatorship, came damn close to starting a nuclear WWIII, and his conceit dragged us into the first war this country has ever lost. His brother the AG wasn't any better.

The book officially hits shelves Wednesday, but some copies are already in circulation.

“And you’re in the press office this summer, right?”
“Yes, sir, I am,” she replied.

When she arrived at the White House residence, Powers and two other young female staffers were waiting. Powers poured, and frequently refilled, her glass with daiquiris until the commander-in-chief arrived.
