The War for America: Americans vs. DC, NY, LA
Self | 2/13/2012 | RightOnline

Posted on 02/13/2012 6:10:24 AM PST by RightOnline

I won't pretend that there has been any one, single event or occurrence of late that has prompted this discussion. Suffice it to say that I'm absolutely, positively fed up as a Christian, a veteran, and as an American.

I'm well into my 50's now, and in my lifetime I have never seen a more open, blatant attack on not only our freedoms as Americans but also our beliefs (e.g. Christianity in all of its forms), our sensibilities, and even our intelligence.

There are multitudinous examples of enemies out there who loathe our country, our faith, our founding principles, our traditional economic model.....Islam, Socialists/Communists, OWS'ers, Progressives, radicals of all stripes. However, the threat posed by these individuals/groups are either part of, or pale in comparison to, the internal threat that has now forced us into open warfare: I'm speaking of the axis of Washington, DC, New York City, and Los Angeles (Hollywood, Burbank, et al).

Oh, we could all lump numerous other "blue" hotbeds into the mix....Chicago (replete with its notorious "Machine" that gave us the current Usurper in Chief), Detroit (the poster child for failed liberal policies, especially favoring minorities), San Francisco (need I even say it?), etc. Still, I contend the Axis represents the real threat and must be fought, not just countered.

Obviously I am not speaking of a "shooting war", but a cultural war; a media war....a war for the hearts and minds of this country. They have had free reign for decades and have continued to clamp down upon us with demonstrably Leftist (aka "proven stupid") policies, departments, laws, pronouncements, Executive Orders, regulations, filth over the airwaves, secular humanism, mockery of anything and everything Christian and/or related to our nation's founding and founding fathers, etc.

We sit and take it. Quietly.

Not any more. Enough is enough, and I'm sick of the tyranny of the few.

It has sickened me that anti-American groups such as CAIR, the ACLU, and so many other fringe organizations seem to carry so much clout in this country. These comparatively small groups grab us all collectively by our noses via DC legislators (and even State, local governments) and the media and waltz us around to their sick tunes. We shake our heads and emit low whistles as we read of their latest outrages against us and all that we stand for.....and nothing happens.

They've been getting a free ride, folks, and it's high time we stop it.

We have the numbers. This is still an overwhelmingly Christian nation. Look at any "red/blue" map, especially at the county level, and you can clearly see that there are two Americas: one represented by the Axis, another...and much, much larger....represented by those of us who love this country, serve her unabashedly, and go about our lives trying to be good neighbors and productive citizens.

The number one way we win this war is to vote: vote in the polls, vote with your remote control, vote with your dollars....but now it's time to vote with your VERY LOUD voice en mass.

We need our own organization. Shoot, I may even start it myself if no one else does. There are the odd groups here and there that do great work (most notably, the recent rise of the Tea Party), but it's simply not enough.

The Tea Party is often mistaken to be...and treated as...a political party. We know better, but the perception is there, nonetheless. What I am referring to would be a counter to the ACLU, CAIR, and other Leftist special interest groups that can be heard collectively above the din; one that can approach a broadcast network, a newspaper, a legislator or legislature...and let 'em have it with both barrels (figuratively speaking), letting them know of our disapproval or even anger.

If a tiny handful of Muslims in a Christian country can intimidate the media and legislators, what can millions and millions of outraged American citizens do?

We're talking power; real power that we have yet to tap in middle America.

Let's discuss this. I don't yet know what such an organization should be called (I thought of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Americans, but SPCA has been taken, so...). I don't yet know what relationship it can or should have with the Tea Party, although I'm inclined to believe they would be separate if overlapping in purpose.

Let's take on this Axis on our coastlines and put them in their place once and for all. What say you all?

I have nearly 30 years in high tech sales and marketing where I learned the value of strategic partnerships/alliances in creating critical mass in the marketplace.

I could easily see this organization inviting joint membership, partnering with like-minded groups such as the NRA, the Catholic League, the Tea Party (of course), Young Republicans, the Southern Baptist Convention....SO many other great Conservative groups that cherish our freedoms.

I’ve “lived” in the WDC area for about 30 years. If the general population only realized the waste both in terms of facilities, duplicative, corrupt “programs”, government employees and government benefits. It is truly overwhelming.

Yes, and you’ve swerved into another highly valuable purpose for such an organization: a giant “flashlight” capable of illuminating those things that prefer to operate in the shadows; those that fear the light of open exposure.

How about, For The Love of Americans. And yes, hyphenated names with nationalities or “religions” need not apply. I think Breitbart gave a pretty good speech this weekend in reference to the same ideas.

Breitbart and other individuals have been carrying the burden, doing the heavy lifting for the rest of us for far too long.

Time to lighten their load considerably.

With all due respect, the "battle for hearts and minds" was lost a generation ago. Thanks to the tireless efforts of the left and the media Americans now have a multiplicity of identities, cultures and moral codes, many of which are not compatible or are diametrically opposed. We are not one nation but are actually several nations uncomfortably superimposed within the same geographic boundaries. History teaches us that is only a matter of time until our civilization descends into chaos.

Welcome to the American Balkans. Hard choices are coming, my FRiend.

I am much of the same mind as you.

However any organisation you build or try to build will be called racist, Fascist, homophilic, islamophobic,or prudish.

You feel there are millions out there who would rush to join such an organisation, and really, there should be, but there aren’t.

Only a few of us are trying to keep up.
The others are entertained by “Swamp Men” and “Repo wars”.
Watching Reality shows while they should be paying attention to what is going on around them.

I understand your points, but I’m not one to cry “surrender” without a fight. Battles have been lost, but not the war.....yet.

Agreed. And as long as American parents are abdicating their responsibility to the leftist run public schools,(who do NOT teach civics and the uniqueness of America) fewer and fewer people will even know or care that we’ve lost our freedom.

So the choice is simple: throw up one’s hands and say “We’ve lost! It’s too late!”.....or fight back.

What you’re asking has been done before.

The Founders left us a blueprint to take back America. They were called Committees of Safety. It starts with taking back your neighborhoods.

That means attending local village council, school board and county board meetings and demanding liberty legislation. It means voting out left wing scum from local governments. It means electing a constitutional sheriff in your county. These can be our Committees of Safety.

Once that’s done, a safe political base with power can be established to take on the criminal fascist syndicate infesting Washington.

Who said anything about surrendering? This isn’t going to be a war for hearts and minds, it’s going to be a war, period. The only question is when.

An “American” is inherently self-reliant,
and joins in cooperative society out of CHOICE,
not out of necessity or compulsion.

Committees for Safety. Actually a great idea, but be aware that any such committee: A. Will be branded by both the government and the media as a terrorist organization; B. If persistant will be destroyed either by direct action (think Waco) or indirectly (tax audits, job consequences and social ruin-I've seen families destroyed for less than this).

Which is not to say that we shouldn't try. But the stakes will be very high. We outnumber the liberals, but they control almost everything, even in Red states. They are persistant and will stop at nothing. Plan for the worst.

If God is very merciful, you are right. I no longer have any hope of my own, but I would not mind being surprised.

There are numerous forms of compulsion....some overt, some covert. Americans have been subjected, via the media, state-run schools, etc. to political correctness, group-think, and left-leaning ideology for decades.

Once that ground has been properly softened, the government follows up with very overt forms of compulsion via legislation and regulation.

Why shouldn’t they, when no one speaks against it with a loud enough voice?

I even think that the headlong rush to homosexual marriage is a skirmish in this war.

As homosexal marriage becomes allowed in more places, attention will turn to the fact that no mainstream religion allows homosexual marriage. Eventually lawsuits will be filed against churches over the marriage issue. Mainstream religions will be in position in which they will be in violation of civil rights laws by holding to their positions on the sinful nature of homosexuality. Attempts will be made to legislate these religions out of existence.

This recent battle over birth control and Catholic organizations is another battle in this war. Liberals such as Obama see nothing wrong with forcing a liberal value on the Catholic Church. The same will eventually be done with homosexual marriage.

Disclaimer first: I am all for your idea and it would be great if it would actually do the good that you propose.

However, many conservatives are feeding the beast daily, even as they give to their favorite cause. Spending $75.00 to join the NRA or attending a few feel good meetings of the local tea party seems to be all it takes to make many folks feel they are already doing their part.

But they are singing to the choir.

Creating an alliance without practicing the required discipline, (especially within the marketplace where it will HURT liberals) is simply another lost cause.

I love Starbucks Coffee, but I won't feed the beasts that own it because their profit supports liberal ideals. But plenty of people see no harm in their $5.00 a day fix. What if no conservative bought at Starbucks?

I believe Starkist has the best tuna, but I won't feed the pelosi beast by buying it. What if no conservative bought Starkist?

Back in the “day without a Mexican”, my favorite Mexican Restaurant closed in support of illegal immigration. I have not eaten there since. Actually, a lot of my fellow conservatives have done the same and their business is not what it was, though still surviving.

I loved Disneyland, but I'll never set foot on another Disney property, What if no conservatives fed the Disney beast?

If we all did WITHOUT once in awhile, we could put a dent in the funding they need to promote liberalism.

The items I mention are not the only products I do without by a longshot, but I can honestly say I am doing my part wherever I have the choice. I know, we can't possibly break Starbucks, Disney or Starkist, which is a perfectly good excuse not to try.

Sorry for sounding so beyotchey this morning, but I had to get it said.
