The Miami Herald is reporting that Martin County Sheriff Robert Crowder will enter the Republican primary race in the yet to be finalized 18th Congressional District that will have him facing off against Congressman Allen West. Crowder’s entrance to the race is very peculiar, as his endorsement of Democrat Gubernatorial candidate Alex Sink in 2010 over now Governor Rick Scott is still very much remembered by Martin County Republicans.

Colonel West is moving to my district replacing the corrupt alcee hastings hopefully.
Already have a bumper sticker of his on two of my vehicles.
Funny reading the local liberal rag and the folks that are on his case already.
from what I’ve read it was one of Mitts supporters who was in charge of redistricting here in Florida and since the Colonel supported Newt they figured they’d try to squeeze West out.

This is no big deal. Allen West is a strong candidate and should win the primary and go on to win the house seat. I think every House seat should have a primary every election. Too many seats in the United States have made the seats too easy to keep and why we have House members that don’t follow our desires.
You’re lucky, Joe. I’m at the other end of the totem pole - West is moving OUT of my district. I hate to see him go, but I wish him Godspeed - we need him to continue fighting in Congress as AMERICA’S Congressman! As for Hastings, I can’t say a word without setting off the F-Bomb, so I’ll just shut up!

It was my first thought. Both Scott and Mittens want to decrease the surplus? population of Tea Partiers. There was an attempt by Gov Scott and a Mittens campaign person to re-district Colonel West out. Now they appear to be running a challenger with Democrap support against him. The low lifes in Mitt’s cabal are attacking the Tea Party through re-districting and collaboration with the enemy...
Let's hope! Crowder has been sheriff for decades, and it will be hard to beat him.
As much as I would like to do more, Col. West's is the only campaign we are donating to. We can't lose him.

What is the status of Ileana Ros-Lehtinen from the 18th? Is she not running or has her district been consolidated with others to form new district?
