Arizona, Alaska, and Utah are the winners in the Brady Campaign anti-gun rights sweepstakes for 2011. The anti gun rights organization annually rates all 50 states with a 100 point scorecard ranking on the basis of anti gun rights laws. These three states win for the least State interference in individual gun rights freedoms with 0 points each in 2011. California continues to blaze the trail by scoring 81 out of 100 possible points in repressive gun rights legislation. The rankings were based on gun laws passed by the end of 2011.
Here are all 50 states' rankings and the press release:

Good news for Arizona! We have been aiming for top score for years!
Georgia scored 8 points, so we need some work.
Massachusetts, formerly governed by Mitt Romney, scored 65 points.
Why is Mitt running as a Republican again?
We’ll assume Wyoming received a “0” score, since they didn’t make the list.....
(Ever seen Sasparilla referred to as “two fingers of two cents plain”?)
Colorado scored 15 and I don’t see many restrictions here.
I have no interest in visiting any of the states that scored higher...
What do we need to change for a perfect "0"?
Move to Constitutional carry (permitless carry) and/or allow University carry.
Thanks for posting this. I can understand why the Brady bunch would not include DC. It would be the highest rated, and have the highest murder rate.
"Now, remember, we made that up."
OK ... I definitely favor both of those.
BTW, I currently favor “Alaska Carry” ... wherein a permit is not required, but shall be issued to those who request it. Said permit is useful when traveling in less enlightened States.
Can you carry on universities in AK, AZ, and UT?
You can in Utah. A bill is pending in the Arizona Legislature. I do not believe you can in Alaska. However, Alaska and Arizona have Constitutional carry.
Check the article....this is a Brady score card!
To them “0” is bad, 100 is good.
So, for you and I “0” is as good as it gets.
“Well assume Wyoming received a 0 score, since they didnt make the list.....

That goes back a ways.
Wyoming inadverently omitted. They racked up a whopping 4
I wish we could get to Constitutional Carry in Kentucky, but I doubt it will ever fly for simply one reason.....it would be a loss of fee revenue.
It says Wyoming got a 4.
Thanks!

ya...me too...
I think is was a line in a ballad in the 50’s or 60’s, painting an image of a scene in a bar in the old West....?
