LUFKIN, TEXAS, February 15, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com) The Congressional investigation into Planned Parenthood that touched off the controversy over Susan G. Komens funding of the abortion giant may soon expand into a series of national hearings in the nations capital and court cases around the country that could expose hundreds of millions of dollars of financial impropriety, critics say.
Karen Reynolds, a decade-long employee of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast (PPGC) in Texas, has filed a lawsuit claiming 12 Planned Parenthood mills in Texas and Louisiana bilked the government by billing medical agencies for services that were unnecessary or that were never actually provided. Fraud is fraud, said Reynolds attorney, Mike Love.
Her allegations are part of a cascade of negative publicity drawing attention to the dubious or possibly illegal accounting practices of roughly 20 percent of Planned Parenthoods national affiliates.

I wonder how much taxdollars that is. Seems like Title X funds sent to Planned Parenthood are probably just money that is skimmed from the government with no accountability...
If this is only the tip of an iceberg, I wonder how large this iceberg is [in terms of misuse of tax dollars]
Not mentioned here is the number of nominally respectable groups (Komen) who have also funded these abortions with unsuspecting donor-cash.
Komen’s going to suffer right along with PP, and I couldn’t be happier.
A 2008 New York audit found 102 of 119 sample cases improperly received such reimbursement including funds that paid for 27 abortions.
That means that 85.7% of the cases samples showed fraud.
Must be folks on the take not to notice this -- this is big time fraud for sample rates to hit Eighty Five point Seven Percent rate...
When the purpose of your organization is killing babies, what’s a little financial fraud?
yes, but nothing will come of this. Do you think Holder is going to prosecute them?
> This story really needs to have higher visibility...
Absolutely NOTHING will be done about it.
Planned Parenthood has been literally getting away with murder for 40 years.
So what’s the big deal about fraud or embezzlement?
Such things sink to insignificance when your moral compass is so out of whack that you consider it reasonable to decerebrate a baby as s/he’s being born or burn the baby alive in a saline solution and pull the baby apart with a suction machine to “evacuate the uterus”.
When the purpose of your organization is killing babies, whats a little financial fraud?
I cannot argue with your logic, it appears our government is getting so very corrupt to allow this to happen.
Because of our military and what they stand for, I have hope for the country.
Otherwise, it appears we are in deep do-do...
Since PP is a non-profit, where does the money go?
It is a moral issue.
It is a tax issue.
It is a budget issue.
And it is a crime issue.
All one can do is contact Congress and hope they will take action.
PP has a political arm to elect candidates.
And also salaries for their executives such Cecile Richards.
ping
Newt needs to take this and run HARD with it.
This is the bunny trail they wanted us down, turn the tables.
No real surprise here ... other than they are finally being investigated. An organization filled with people who have no morals ... I would expect them to be cheating financially also.
I think the strangest and sickest part of all this is the potential link between abortions and breast cancer.
Breast cancer is a terrible disease. I know survivors, as does almost everyone. However, the Komen campaigns of Pink Everything just began to wear on my nerves to the point where I would purposely avoid products involved. It wasn’t the cause and I really knew very little about Komen. It just the ubiquitous PINK.

Salaries from their own Annual Reports and tax records, here:
Well, the “pink” has definite connotations for seniors (not that you’re necessarily in that category). What I mind most about Komen is the vice-grip it seems to have on female athletes! My four daughters either coach a high school or college sport now or have coached in the past. Without exception their teams are pressured (public service is part of athletics, donchaknow) to aid Komen in one way or another—not brain cancer, not heart disease, not MS, nothing but breast cancer, and Komen’s breast cancer. My daughters have tried to change the recipient of their teams’ charities, to utterly no avail. All they’ve been able to accomplish is refusing to take part, personally, in any of the campaigns. This is just plain corrupt. The more so because it’s patently obvious that Komen’s deal with PP is part of the reason for Komen’s high-participation and -visibility levels.
