Politics and Religion DO mix

“Politics and religion don’t mix” is an ill-conceived America adage that has been passed from generation to generation. It is false an ideology and an essential reason why America, the greatest nation on earth has fallen to its knees spiritually, morally, and economically.

The Founding Fathers never envisioned an America where the Bible was out-of-bounds when defining public policy. They unabashedly called upon the name of the Lord God Almighty for His providence and applied His principals when forming the Constitution of the United States of America.

Their words speak for themselves:

• George Washington: ”Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor.

• Benjamin Franklin: “”I have lived, sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth – that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid?”

• Thomas Jefferson: “The God Who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time.”

• Alexander Hamilton: “The sacred rights of mankind are not to be rummaged for, among old parchments, or musty records. They are written, as with a sun beam, in the whole volume of human nature, by the hand of the divinity itself; and can never be erased or obscured by mortal power.”

The Declaration of Independence enumerated certain rights bestowed upon us by our Creator: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. They are the roots of freedom; roots that can only be nurtured and preserved by through obedience to the Words of the...

The atheists and non-believers are so focused on taking down religion that it has become an obsession. They are not content with living without religion in their own lives, but demand that the rest of us adhere to their beliefs, or should I say, "non-beliefs".

Politicians are individuals, and are American citizens. Religious people are individuals and are American citizens too. In that sense, the mixing of "Church and state" is unavoidable.

In clarification, "the separation of Church and State" is not in the Constitution. What IS in the Constitution is "freedom of Religion". Based on one of the main reasons the founders migrated to the new world is to escape Religious persecution, with Religion being dictated by the government.

So, my opinion is, the government is prohibited from interfereing with Religion, but, insofar as people of all religions are American citizens, they are no prohibited from participating in, and being involved in Government.

With the diversity in the United States, there is no way any government entity can dictate who, or what, people can worship...without force, anyway.

We are free to worship, and if we choose not to worship, that is our freedom also.

The main thing to remember about governments, dictators, and wayward Presidents is...they want us to worship THEM. Greenies want us to worship the Earth.

But one thing is for certain, someday the Government may force us to stop going to Church, Mass, or any other religious gatherings, but they cannot stop our relationship with God.

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
