I fear that at best Santorum would be an average president. However, I would vote for him if he is the nominee.
I agree with that. I would also say he'll be a disaster of a nominee. But if he somehow won, because Obama will be weak, Santorum would be like GWBush at best, which would set the stage for more losses in congress, more big government programs, and the next Obama at the end of his term.

Rick Santorum IS our nominee.. :) the Primary IS over... :)
NOW... we need to focus our attention on the matter at hand which is putting together a DREAM TEAM cabinet that will serve our Nation well.... Can you help? Oh, and while we are at it I think we need to look at replacing about 435 members of the House of Representatives with 435 Citizens who can keep the U.S. Senate in check and help support President Santorum’s agenda... Can you help me with that too?

I’ll take this as your agreement not to ask me to join the Geek Squad until then. And BTW, Super Tuesday won’t change the facts: sweater vest is as sweater vest does.
Correction on my last.. if you just want to add total votes received that will after AZ and MI on 2/28 on 3/6 President Santorum will secure the nomination and then it will be 100% focus on Obama.. I suggest my fellow FReepers get on the Santorum train early since the Primary is effectively over now... but will not be official until 3/6... we do not help President Santorum by bashing him now.... We have to defeat Romney/Paul NOW Santorum/Newt can do that if all the Newt folks get on the Santorum wave NOW..

A little premature don’t you think? The primary has a long way to go and nothing is even close to being decided.
Talking about cabinet positions NOW is very important... this will help seal the deal with the voters and get those who have not already been bought by Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich off the table...
Dan must have missed the debate the other night when Santorum drove his campaign into the dirt.
Santorum folks thing their nerd is perfect. It’s what makes them so annoying.

I have nothing personal against Rick. He seems like a good guy. If the general election is about social issues (and you KNOW the media will make it about that if Santorum is the candidate, and you KNOW they’ll frame debate ala “if you’re not for forcing people to subsidize birth control then you’re against birth control”) Obama wins.
I’ll vote for him if he gets the nomination, but I think the good guy thing is a bunch of phony baloney. While he was languishing away in the single digits, he was as nasty and petty towards the other Republican candidates as anyone.
People seem to forget that now, but he was. And then when his campaign was almost broke, he supposedly took several million from a Romney Pac to run negative ads against Newt, which he did, in Iowa.
He has not been above the fray at all.
